Lame. This once again proves that science is of no benefit to society.

Go pr0n go!
2002-04-02 03:56:05 PM
and that was WAY before Dolly Parton

2002-04-02 03:56:44 PM
Then how does this, (.)(.) look like an eclipse?
2002-04-02 03:57:42 PM
Oh, come on, every knows cave men were all horny bastards.
2002-04-02 03:57:47 PM
That actually makes sense. Especially if you figure they were schnockered on Smithwicks and Bushmills.
2002-04-02 03:58:18 PM
well, if that's true, i just squirted all over my keyboard to the sun and the moon :-O

Guess you unlearn something new everyday.
2002-04-02 04:01:25 PM
Or they were listening to Bushwick Bill.
2002-04-02 04:01:28 PM
I've never been with a woman whose boobies could block out the sun.
2002-04-02 04:01:56 PM
bah, they drew boobies to look like an eclipse so they wouldn't get caught staring at pr0n...
2002-04-02 04:02:42 PM
if those aren't boobies, then call me an astrologer.
Now let's get back to Jennifer Connolly's lunar eclipse.
2002-04-02 04:02:51 PM
Don't stare directly at the boobies! You'll burn your retinas!
2002-04-02 04:07:38 PM
Mmm..Jennifer Connelly's lunar eclipse makes me wanna play with my Hokey Spoke.
2002-04-02 04:07:57 PM
Cavewoman: What the hell are you drawing?!?!?!

Caveman: Uhhhhh,'s only the SUN!
2002-04-02 04:08:48 PM
Those aren't boobies... they're cheeks, and they illustrate an eclipse of Uranus.

Obligatory-astronomy-related-uranus-joke now complete. Thank you.
2002-04-02 04:09:52 PM
Maybe it was the stone carving of Hugh Hefner that threw them off.

BTW, the article doesn't mention anything about

Time to go back to "studying the sky" with my "telescope" as I wait for the "eclipse" and "event horizon" (obscure scifi movie ref) to "occur".
2002-04-02 04:11:09 PM
But there isn't anything to indicate that they were boobies...
2002-04-02 04:13:58 PM
Next time I get caught surfing porn at work I'm using this excuse..... "I'm doing serious astronimical study and I'll thank you to get out of my office!".
2002-04-02 04:16:45 PM
*Beats virion visciously for bringing up that godawful movie*

On the other hand, "event horizon" actually has an interesting meaning completely apart from that dreadful pile of trash of a horror/sci fi film. I'm too lazy to do a google search for a cool link, but I'm sure y'all are capable.
2002-04-02 04:19:08 PM
Neither boobies nor an eclipse. This is obviously evidence that early man was working on a prototype Spirograph.

e·vent ho·ri·zon (plural e·vent ho·ri·zons) noun
black hole boundary trapping light: the theoretical boundary surrounding a black hole, within which gravitational attraction is so great that nothing, not even radiation, can escape because the escape velocity is greater than the speed of light

*rubs head* ow...I feel like a roommate...

I believe that definition is how that wreched movie obtained it's title. Though I thought the term had use to refer to anything great that was about to happen, too.
2002-04-02 04:34:30 PM
Virion Some times they just use the term to refer to your mom.

On another note: covering up the pron. LOL!
2002-04-02 04:37:07 PM
Yeah, that stinking steaming dungheap of a movie did make some passing reference to it (something about faster than light travel, via harnessing the energy at the ev. horizon or something. It didn't make any sense anyway).

*Hands virion some asprin*
Sorry, but god I hate that movie. Probably the worst thing hollywood ever did, imo.
2002-04-02 04:37:39 PM
Bah Vex, that made no sense :P.
2002-04-02 04:45:19 PM
I was lucky to decide not to see the movie. The only thing that looked interesting was the ship (I think), and that fact that the movie had a cool sounding name...

When did the friggen talking ads start? That's just annoying, if you wanna drive people to use ad blocking software, that's one way to do it!
2002-04-02 07:42:10 PM
..Those damn scientists with their minds in the gutter!
2002-04-02 08:15:15 PM
Hah... kind of makes you wonder just how far we have evolved... if at all.
2002-04-02 09:56:23 PM
Sounds like the Salvia talking...
2002-04-02 10:51:34 PM
Appreciate the attempt at a funny tagline, but how is this article in any way "unlikely?"
2002-04-03 12:22:40 AM
bullshiat, boobies were obviously the first things primitive folks would consider drawing on their walls (hell id do it to mine)
2002-04-03 01:11:57 AM
on the other hand, now that i actually looked at the pictures, those sure as hell aint boobies.

The YWCA 's new symbol bears a striking resemblance to stone age depictions of female, er, "genitalia drawrings"
