Prinzeugen: blasphemy! Guess you are too good for only 4 frames of actually Space Ghost animation, eh?

I suppose you have something against Birdman, too?! :P
2002-03-31 01:38:04 AM
My favorite 80s cartoons:

Legend of Zelda (Super Mario Bros.)
any Captain N episodes with Zelda and Link

Oh and I hear there's going to be a NEW He-Man cartoon coming out, just go to for more info.
2002-03-31 01:38:23 AM
nazzerov - yeah, the cartoon with jordan, gretzky, and bo jackson. it was cool.
2002-03-31 01:38:30 AM
Anyone remember "Tranzor Z"? It was like a generic "Voltron". "Gobots" was terrible as well- but the absolute worst was "Ulyssees of the Universe"
2002-03-31 01:38:44 AM
Oh, and what was that show on nick a long time ago, about that castle which could travel back in time or something. Dont remember hardly ANYTHING from it, but the castle had some weird room that could either go back in time, or anyplace in the world.

Noozles was just plain weird, particularly how it ended.

Captain N was pretty cool, except for what it did to some of the characters, friggin green Mega man.
2002-03-31 01:39:42 AM
God, what was the name of that horrible cartoon that I always used to see on Nickelodeon with those goofy gnomes and wolves and god-awful crappiness everytime I stayed home sick from school?
I was so pissed to see that on TV but I didn't have much choice between that and People's Court.
2002-03-31 01:40:08 AM
Anyone remember that horrible back to the future cartoon?
2002-03-31 01:40:42 AM
You thinking of David the Gnome, Alanzo, featuring the voice talents of Tom "Father Dowling" Bosley? I actually liked *that* cartoon when I was a kid, too...
2002-03-31 01:41:24 AM
Does Fragle Rock count?
2002-03-31 01:42:01 AM
i watched too many cartoons as a kid.

i'm going to bed.
2002-03-31 01:42:07 AM
Classic: I was so young when this show was on that I only remember tiny bits and pieces way in the back of my head...For a while, I couldn't figure out if it was part of some creepy dream I had or it was something I actually witnessed on tv.
2002-03-31 01:42:26 AM
I remember that show, Alanzo. I can't remember the name, though. It was about the Gnomes with the pointy hats, and the writters went even further and created a whole "hat tradition" involving colors for new Gnomes or something like that.

Pulsarcat: wish I could remember how the Noozles ended. It's been so long....

I'm surprised nobody dragged HETHCLIFF into this crap fest, yet.
2002-03-31 01:42:46 AM

I could never follow the plot and I could never figure out what the hell those things were with their weird little hats and all.
Oh, to be a kid again...
2002-03-31 01:44:20 AM
*shudders* I'm still having nightmares about Zoobilee Zoo, that parrot thingy scared the shiat outta me! Im going to have to agree with everyone here on liking the Gummi Bears though, I can till kinda remember the theme song, so it musta been good. Im surprised noone has mentioned Captain Planet (not sure when that aired) That show was cool, except for the fruity guy who had the heart power ring thingy.
2002-03-31 01:44:26 AM
Man, if the E-N guys are reading this, they must be creaming themselves right now.
2002-03-31 01:45:36 AM
Look aroooound yoooou
There are many thiiiings to seeeee
That some would saaaaay could never beeeee

David the Gnome was almost as insane as Maya the Bee.
2002-03-31 01:45:41 AM
It ran in the early 90s, and was great. But then the hippie bashers came in and made the fans leave. Lousy hippie bashers, won't let us save the damn planet... pfft.
2002-03-31 01:46:34 AM
Gummi Beaaaaaaaars!
Bouncing here and there and everywhere!
High adventure that's beyond compare!
They are the Gummi Bears!

Yeah, I actually remember that. Scary.
2002-03-31 01:46:55 AM
Nazzerov: It turned out that the kids (I don't remember any names) father was trapped by those Kollas (not the ones the kids had) in some crystal in the Noozles dimension for some reason I can't quite remember.
2002-03-31 01:47:12 AM

Hoggish Greedly was always my favorite character. So greedy, so hog-like. He never had enough of anything!
2002-03-31 01:47:20 AM
Soundwave980-Yeah,I know it seems that way,but those few shows are probably the only good Disney productions. The rest is just pap,in my eyes. Also,Disney wasn't in the reaming game so much in those days.
2002-03-31 01:47:39 AM
Sampsonite:That little Indian kid was indeed a fruit. It's a good thing street-smart white kid from New York always busted in with the action and some clever quip..

"The only nuclear waste that is going to get disposed of is you, Rat-Man!"

Was his name Rat-Man? He was Rat-like. I don't remember.
2002-03-31 01:48:01 AM
Speaking of nightmares. I think the show was called "The Great Space Coaster". YIKES! There was a guy in an elephant costume. The trunk had a handle on it's side and the guy in the costume would use his hand to grab the handle and articulate the trunk. FREAKED ME OUT everytime I saw that.....
2002-03-31 01:48:03 AM
David the Gnome!!

Nickelodeon used to use these older french, british and canadian snippets to make Pinwheel, way back in the very early 80's. Then Eureka's Castle, Fred Penner, Elephant Show, Can't do that on television, I think they were all canadian. Nowdays PBS runs a bunch of canadian shows too...nonviolent moral shiat. All the american stuff was badguy/hero oriented, violent moral shiat.
2002-03-31 01:48:03 AM
Pulsarcat: man, what a downer.
2002-03-31 01:48:50 AM
how bout the Snorks?
2002-03-31 01:49:39 AM
Ma-ti sucked, I agree, but you can't deny the feminine wiles of Gi. I'd like to report a threadjacking. Let's hope this develops into crude hentai drawings.
2002-03-31 01:50:30 AM
I just realized that Zoobilee Zoo most likely planted the seeds for this retarded Furry shiat. Thanks a lot, Zoobilee Zoo. Real smooth.
2002-03-31 01:51:02 AM
Eureeka's Castle, maybe?

I was born in '86, so I have very fuzzy memories of most of the really great cartoons. It's sad, these days all cartoons are boring shiat about kids at skool. Hey Arnold rocks, though. As do Invader Zim and The Fairly Oddparents, just because they're so wonderfully, crack-ODingly random. (Stealing people's organs and replaceing them with cats, toasters, etc., turning the babysitter into a glass of guava juice...Spongebob isn't bad, either)

Anyone remember Dino Riders? Damn, that show rocked. I faintly recall some other cartoon that somehow involved M.C. Hammer, some kids, and his pants...that sucked.
2002-03-31 01:51:13 AM
I remember one episode of Captain Planet where it all came down to Ma-ti and he was the only one who could save them all and he knew he had the crappy-ass power of Heart and started crying. Then Gaia came down and told him the Heart is the most powerful of them all and he saved them all or something.

What a crock.
2002-03-31 01:51:37 AM
Nazzerov: Yeah, though the kids probably got those kollas to free him using the power of love and understanding. Back in the 80's the power of love and understanding conquered all, which is why I'm glad I don't remember much of it.
2002-03-31 01:51:52 AM
here's a site that sells VHS tapes of cartoons :
2002-03-31 01:52:53 AM
Toxic Crusaders
HeMan and SheRa
Jem, truly outrageous
2002-03-31 01:53:12 AM
Any one else think that a super hero who fought pollution probably shouldn't be someone whose one weakness was pollution?
2002-03-31 01:53:27 AM
Nazzerov: sounds vaguely like flying house to me, a very strange bible-oriented cartoon from japan.
Ouroborus: i remember that show too, but i don't remember the name.. i think he'd turn into the car when he got hot or cold or something. i think he had a sheepdog too; i'm not sure why i remember that. i used to run around in my yard when i was about 5-6 or so pretending i was that car.

inch high private eye was a horrible cartoon. in fact, a lot of what they had on the usa cartoon express was pretty awful. i think they did gi joe reruns though, and there must have been some other good shows too, because i used to watch that a lot as a kid. i have to take exception to this guy including the gummi bears and the littles, though, both those shows rocked. here's one, though. anyone remember the little clowns of happytown? i only wish i were making that up.
2002-03-31 01:54:39 AM
The problem I had with Captain N was the fact that they never maintained any semblence to the characters in the video game. I mean, King Hippo was blue for Christ's sake. And Megaman looked like a completely different robot. Where did these artists get their motivations?
2002-03-31 01:54:51 AM
2002-03-31 01:56:35 AM
Oh shiat, does anybody remember this cartoon that was somewhat related to some kind of video-game but there was this old lady named Ma who was a bad guy and it was kind of futuristic and I think all the bad people wore black and the introduction had a good cop jumping off a falling vehicle. Damn, that show sucked.
2002-03-31 01:56:42 AM
damn, now i have all these stupid old theme songs and catch phrases stuck in my head.

Thundercats, HO!!
2002-03-31 01:58:08 AM
To bad there are no more REAL cartoons. I saw an unedited Popeye from like 1943. Another sailor named Shorty kept getting Popeye into trouble. So Popeye killed Shorty with a handgun. Hey, he asked for it.....

Up till then my whole life had only consisted of the edited popeye cartoons. I had a very serious reality check, kind of like the one Keyano Reeves had when Morpheous gave him that pill.
2002-03-31 01:59:04 AM
Hoosier: I remember the great space coaster, that show rocked! i don't remember the elephant's name, but there was gary gnu and baxter, some big albino clown thing. and an orang-utan, but i don't remember his name. there were some real people too.. i remember a blonde guy with curly hair and a black guy and some girl.. and they sometimes had these cartoons of a kind of stick man, like a line drew the horizon, then the shape of the guy, and back down again, and he'd walk around and stuff. it was a lot cooler than it sounds, i promise.
2002-03-31 02:00:49 AM
was Gi the Russian chick? yeah, I'd nail her too...
Otherwise, the show pretty much sucked, but what can you really expect from a show meant to instill "eco awareness" in kids. Frankly, the crappy second GI Joe cartoon did it better with the Toxo/Sludge Vipers, and they still sucked.
2002-03-31 02:00:57 AM

Then Gaia came down and told him the Heart is the most powerful of them all and he saved them all or something.

What a crock.

Having watched that show more than once, I think I actually remember that episode. I walways thought heart was the pussiest of all the powers. Me, I'd be water.
2002-03-31 02:03:25 AM
gi was the chinese girl. the russian girl was linka.
2002-03-31 02:03:27 AM
without looking at a single bio, i bet i can guess the average age of users on this thread.
2002-03-31 02:03:38 AM
How come none of those kids had lightning? That'd be such a kick ass power, and you could use it for practical jokes in real life (free cans of Coke from the vending machine, at least). Yeah, that little South American kid got hosed.
2002-03-31 02:04:49 AM
here's what i was talking about with the line cartoons on great space coaster.
2002-03-31 02:05:13 AM
Yeah, that Russian chick was hot for a cartoon.
