I thought Bud sucked. If true, why is this sad?
2002-03-26 04:19:52 PM
beer is beer
2002-03-26 04:20:33 PM
2002-03-26 04:20:43 PM
It's sad because it'll slow people down who are driving to get a Sam Adams or a Guinness or a real beer.
2002-03-26 04:20:46 PM
Mass produced Domestic Beer. Yum. Gonna' do some binge drinking tonight.
2002-03-26 04:21:54 PM
Agrees with Nightsweat.
2002-03-26 04:22:01 PM
Thanks God it wasn't my beloved Shiner Bock beer...
2002-03-26 04:22:19 PM
I don't consider spilling bud very sad... in fact, I might party...
2002-03-26 04:22:19 PM
Sad? Sad would be Yeungling being spilled all over the road. Budweiser is crap. It's modern incarnation was originally brewed as being a woman's beer.
2002-03-26 04:22:31 PM
readies straw...
2002-03-26 04:23:05 PM
this isn't sad.. it's glorious... jeebus, why couldn't it have been a whole caravan of them that spilled buttwiper all over i95?
2002-03-26 04:23:16 PM
KiltedMan You must be from PA... a man after my own heart. Here here!
2002-03-26 04:23:31 PM
Yeungling = Yummy
2002-03-26 04:23:40 PM
The truck reportedly hit a white car and then flipped on its side, spilling hundreds of bottles of beer on the road.

Why does it have to point out WHAT COLOR THE CAR WAS??
Can't we all just get along?
2002-03-26 04:23:56 PM
mmmm, Yuengling... *drool*
Bud sucks.
2002-03-26 04:24:22 PM
Its sad because if theres a shortage of bud, the jackaninnies who like it might start drinking beer I like.... and that would reduce the amout of beer I could drink.....
2002-03-26 04:24:35 PM
Kiltedman: Yeungling is mighty good beer - can't get it where I am though. There used to be a distributer around, but he cut back his routes.
2002-03-26 04:25:06 PM
So one flipped truck and a car is all it takes to shut down a road in Florida? hmm...
*readies catapult*

I've got reactions everywhere !!

Bud is beer-scented water. Good riddance.

Is that a bottle of Bud Dry in the picture? Is that stuff still around?

or better yet, a variation...

"Ooooh! Floor beer!"

2002-03-26 04:27:16 PM

"Bud sucks what are you people thinking?"

"No, you're a beer snob - you don't know what the fark you're talking about."

"That American beer is crap - drink Guinness/Bass/Heinie/Kingfisher/Elephant/Smithwicks/Becks/Samuel Smiths/New Castle Brown/MacEwans/..."

2002-03-26 04:27:18 PM
On the bright side, the local homeless people was able to collect a shiat load of empty bottles for return deposit.
2002-03-26 04:27:55 PM
As far as mass-produced beer goes, all I can stomach is MGD. Budweiser is so nasty that I'd rather start hanging around with the AA 12-steppers than drink it. Coors is even worse.

"The driver of the truck was flown to Halifax Medical Center. His condition was not known. Local 6 News also reported that the condition of the driver of the car was not known either."

i'll tell you what their conditions were - fired and really pissed off, respectively.

"Could this be the best day of my life??"
2002-03-26 04:32:47 PM
Look at it this could have been Milwaukee's Best. Then you'd have a Haz-Mat situation on your hands
2002-03-26 04:33:57 PM
"The truck reportedly hit a white car and then flipped on its side, spilling hundreds of bottles of beer on the road."

Hundreds of bottles of beer on the road
Hundreds of bottles of beer
Take one down, pass it around
One less than hundreds of bottles of beer on the road

Thank you! I'll be here all week!
2002-03-26 04:34:19 PM
Stay away from those white cars.
They're nothing but trouble.
2002-03-26 04:34:36 PM
Natty Light is a good beer to drink when you are having more than 15. Personally, I prefer Sam Adams or Smuttynose (Portland, Maine). Where can I get some of this Yeungling that is so highly recommended?
2002-03-26 04:35:39 PM
Digusting or not, that is alcohol abuse.
2002-03-26 04:36:33 PM
I feel sorry for anyone driving by that spot in a week. Gonna stink like, well, Budweiser..
My answer to the beer question? Brew your own!
It's easy and inexpensive. And educational for all you budding micro-biologist.

Aw, how sad. If it were HEINEKEN though, this would be me:
2002-03-26 04:37:18 PM
Viva Blue Ribbon!!!!

2002-03-26 04:38:55 PM
You'd be blank?
2002-03-26 04:40:09 PM
Shlabotnik, I think you can get it in New York now. I like the stuff and can't get it where I live either. It's brewed in PA and is also the country's oldest brewery. I've only had the lager and the porter, but they are both fine beers.
2002-03-26 04:40:40 PM
As I read this article, I look over at the Warsteiner bottle that's standing next to my moniter, and I offer it a warm smile.

Bottoms up!
2002-03-26 04:41:24 PM
Hey, Skidnuts -- Cool it, bub! You're talking about my college survival kit. Milwaukee's Best for $5 a case. Yay Beasties!

Ahem. Well, that was then. This is now.
2002-03-26 04:41:42 PM
"Heineken?! fark that shiat! Pabst Blue Ribbon!"
2002-03-26 04:43:15 PM
Better that it be dumped on the road than someone have to taste it.
2002-03-26 04:43:28 PM

Hell Yeah. Can I get an Amen.

Personally I prefer Sea Dog: great ales, great bar (Camden/Rockport)
2002-03-26 04:43:55 PM
budweiser tastes like driftwood anyways...

give me bass.

2002-03-26 04:44:44 PM
Finally a beer thread close to quitting time so I don't have to suffer all day.
2002-03-26 04:44:50 PM
I had a Bud once when I went to the States.

It tasted horrible, and was closer to water than beer, both in flavor and texture.

I will never drink american beer again.
2002-03-26 04:45:18 PM
and yes, i unfortunately know what driftwood tastes like, was surfing in Wilmington, NC a long time go, crashed right into some of the shiat... for i while i though driftwood tasted like budweiser... i was all wrong it's BUDWEISER that tastes like DRIFTWOOD ;)

2002-03-26 04:46:33 PM

2002-03-26 04:47:07 PM
