This must be for that 50 tons of Popcorn in that guy's garage.

Look for a huge butter heist next.

Look for a huge butter heist next.

This reminds me of those popcorn commercials where they would head off a Land O' Lakes truck, bring it back to their factory and make Butter-Flavored Popcorn.

Anyone know what I am talking about?

Wow, I'm surprised the article didn't say that I stole the trucks...

All your salt are belong to us!!

In the words of Homer Simpson:
The Good Lord never intended one man to have that much sugar, that's why he portions it out in those little packets.

I think the same could be said for salt.
2002-03-16 04:17:29 PM
20 tons of salt has a market value of....what, $2.50? These are definitely pros!
2002-03-16 04:18:01 PM
Inside information: The salt was acquired by CIA operatives. The plan is to create unprecedented cold weather, using the US weather control machine. This will lead to increasing demand for roadsalt, and these two truckloads of salt are then to be sold with a handsome profit.
The proceeds are going to go to the freedom fighters of the Lapland Liberation Army of Northern Norway.

I think a thievest is the worst kind of thief. Then you have a theiver which is a little mediocre comparitively.
On a side note, I wish I could go through life without double checking myself. I guess that takes quite a bit of egoism (or self-confidence or something)... whatever
2002-03-16 04:40:14 PM
I'll thievest the dumbass' mom who used the word thievest in the title.
2002-03-16 04:58:44 PM
You don't want to consume road salt.
2002-03-16 04:59:42 PM
How do you know I don't want to? Maybe I enjoy the smooth refreshing taste of road salt.
2002-03-16 05:27:58 PM
Blackbird- That sounds like a wager to me...
2002-03-16 06:06:28 PM
I didn't know anyone would want to shots of tequila using road's not regular salt people. That stuff can fark you up.
2002-03-16 06:54:13 PM
First, you get the sugar. Then, you get the power. Then, you get the women...

Not sure how salt fits into the equation, though.

2002-03-16 07:10:41 PM
Wager? Uh... you go first. :P
Road is usually Potassium Chloride rather than your table salt, Sodium Chloride.

Are there any picturesque freshwater lakes in Norway? Do you suppose these guys are attempting to create new sea-front property to boost real estate prices? Or, uhm...

*Bursts out singing for no apparent reason.* Fish heads, fish heads, roly-poly fish heads...
2002-03-16 08:58:13 PM
Don't ask how - it's a long story - but I got a mouthful of road salt one time.

It wasn't a pleasant experience.
2002-03-17 07:57:03 AM
Why, oh why did they take my roadsalt. What will my kids have to eat now? Oh why? why? Potassium Chloride is the salt of our lives. Well, maybe not ACTUALLY the salt of our lives. Or maybe it is.
And whoever said that the winter was on its retreat didnt look out from my window. Ph4rk1n' cold and icy. I need that salt.
Damn thievests' thiephers!
