I'm really not sure it was a great idea for the FA to sell the US rights to the cup to ESPN, nor for ESPN to put it on ESPN+, the channel of choice for people whose cable provider doesn't carry The Ocho.

I assume subby meant 8am for the fa cup games.

Blackburn currently leading Sheffield United with 20 to play in the first game.

Friends of mine have gone down to Brighton to watch their game against Grimsby Town later on, I suspect Grimsby's fairytale run is done.

United v Fulham could be a good one later, depends how much Eric decides he wants to go for it versus their league and european runs.

Sheffield equalise, and we might be heading for bonus footy (no replays in the later rounds)

Hello all.
Missed all yesterday. New house stuff took up my whole day (& ruined my back).
Happy the teams below Palace didn't make too much headway.
Not really hopeful for a result today. Especially after this year's results & Vieira's sacking.

Sheffield score an absolute belter in stoppage time and that might have stolen it at the death.

I can't imagine that Conte hasn't heard from his boss about that tirade he went on during his post-match presser yesterday... and the player's association also probably lit into him.

part of me thinks that with Conte so close to the end of his contract, Spurs might just let it ride till the end of the season.

If they get rid now, there's a chance there's some sort of payoff clause in his contract. Is a new manager this late in the season going to make any difference to Spurs season now? I doubt it, so why take the hit?

There is no point to sacking him now.  I expect moves in the summer to sell Kane and bring in a new manager to rebuild the team. I just cannot see continuing the Conte tenure when he wants money and to win rather than a long term project.  Meanwhile, Kane is good enough to win titles with a contending team in either La Liga or Serie A

the tl;dr was basically "the players are happy to just draw a salary and do nothing, and the owners are fine with not winning anything".

Only he took about ten minutes.

Do not give away the ball in that area, Palace!

Guess I should not be surprised since he capitulated to Sheffield Utd in that FA Cup tie

Oh that would have been sweet had Zaha beat Ramsdale.

Realistically Utd's league run is for Top 4, even though it's just a couple of weeks that people were saying "if Arsenal and Citeh stumble...". So that means two from Utd, Spurs, and Bonesaw competing for 3rd and 4th. And who knows what is going to happen with Spurs.

The Europa cup is looking very tough after an unfavorable draw, so that may become moot soon enough.

So if I'm ten Hag, I put out a full strength team for the FA Cup, and reevaluate after the international break.

Except, of course, the fact that the owners keep on blocking any attempt to move Kane (and Son) by setting a transfer fee so high no one will go for it... not even FFP FC or Bonesaw FC.

That's actually not Guaita.  That is their new keeper Whitworth in his 2nd ever match for Palace, the first being the recent M23 Derby.

Brighton take the lead, all too easy, and this one could challenge the score line city had yesterday.
