I can get a whole chicken for $1.29/lb and all the seriously crispy skin I can manage and the ~pint of slap yo momma gravy it makes to go on the mashed potatoes/base for pot pie/topping for pommes d'or that goes with it. Or wings for over $3.

/the drumstick cassoulet was a winner too.
