Republican are evil and the party of domestic terrorists so not surprising. Remember when republicans voted the attack on the US capital was good because TFG told them? Accountability and rule of law is hated by republicans.

Their freaking out, they figure if a DA has the balls to indict a former president, the rest of them are fair game as well. This has been the primary driver behind trying to discredit the 1/6th committee findings and all the white washing and sympathy crap over the assholes that have already been locked up for participating in an attempted insurrection.

Nah.  I think Qevin is just into autoerotic asphyxiation, and is mad he was denied getting to have a McParthy in his pants on the government dime

Sounds like the Republican majority leader and his allies want to invite the Jan. 6 insurrectionists back to the House for another attempt. Perhaps the entire House GOP should now be referred as the Coup Caucus.

(1) This is for a non-violent crime.  They could probably zoom it from a local courthouse.

(2) There is no refusal of extradition between states.  As soon as New York sent a fax to Florida, Dumpy has to be rendered down - I mean, up.  And he's up to his greasy tits in Secret Service agents.  They would bustle him into whatever vehicle is available and escort him up.

That's it, Republicans, go ahead and play all your cards to defend your orange god from the Stormy Daniels hush money charges. Throw everything you have at it, so we'll know what we can expect when it comes to the election interference, sedition, and insurrection charges.

/we don't need to be concerned about tipping our hand here
//the vast majority of them choose not to read unless it's absolutely necessary
///many of them can barely read at all

I wonder iff DeSantis would try to weasel out of it somehow.  It would certainly be in his interest to see TFG sent away for a long while - but I think perpetuating the narrative that politicians can't be tried is more valuable in the long run

So everyone's just taking Trump at his word that he won't hold up at Fart Sumter?

That led Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) to rant on Twitter, "Republicans in Congress MUST subpoena these communists and END this! We have the power to do it and we also have the power to DEFUND their salaries and departments! Enough of this!"

Gee, it's such a good thing 109 House Democrats went along with the GOP's "stigginit to the socialists" measure (sarcasm mode).

And this is precisely why Garland is taking his sweet time. He knows that his cases have to be bullet proof to not only convict Trump but also to survive Congressional interference.

These guys are holding a gun to the head of the rule of law in the US.

They know they have made prosecutors overly cautious about who they charge and prosecute, and now they are pushing it even further by outright threatening to sack and defund them if they don't play ball.

Like I said, Trump is surrounded by Secret Service agents, who are federal law enforcement and bound to execute the laws of the land.  If DeSantis tried to stop the Secret Service, he'd find out really quick what getting ventilated feels like.

I don't think Trump is going to be indicted... But I'm not so convinced of that that I'll say I'll eat my hat.

Trump didn't say it. Trump's lawyer did. He's planning on tying Trump up and handing him over so he's not involved in another January 6th, himself.

I hope you enjoy that nasty pizza.

Trump will be indicted and he'll promptly fund raise a $1 million dollars because we can't have nice things.

Now, now. I'm sure these are actions that are in the best interest of our republic. Why else would a wealthy respected man like this act as such a quivering quim of a pussy-ass toady to a whore farking idiot fat old f*ck like DJ Trump? I mean, to think otherwise would be accusing this honorable statesman of being a cheap whore! Certainly no one would make such a bold claim like that.

Rest assured Mr. McCarthy, your legacy is intact.

No, he's not prosecuting because he sent a memo out saying presidential candidates were not prosecutable.

We don't just need arrests.  We need full on hard core atomic fusion powered prosecutions.  Not like the insurrectionists that are being kid gloved and not charged with treason.  We need treason charges. And we need full doxxing.  So they can be held accountable.

If he is indicted and convicted of the Stormy Daniels stuff what kind of offense is it and would it be enough to keep him off the ballot? I know this is the least serious of the possible charges against him.

Trump supporters see him as a god, that's why we got this regarding Stormy Daniels:

1) It didn't happen
2) If it did happen, he's a billionaire playboy, that's what they do
3) If it did happen, we didn't elect a choir boy
4) B-b-b-but Clinton!

That's not what it said.

The Mar-a-Lago raid occured 10 weeks after the memo was released, and the investigation was only slowed because of interference from a Trump-appointed judge.

If Biden uses the power of stealth helicopters and gitmo, he can be kept off the ballot.

Yes. It might get Biden's hand a little dirty.  But he is old.  He doesn't likely have to worry about it for too long.  And if it is for the good of Our Democracy, it is worth it.

Not all truth is good.  Depending on the situation.

Do you want Biden coming out and having a press conference that states "Putin is likely to use atomic weapons and there are MORE banks likely to collapse".

It is better for Our Democracy and the overmaster caste that he says all is well.  That Putin isn't suicidal and the banks are all fine.
