Well, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

You know, it's dangerous for you to be here in the frozen food section.

Because you could melt all this stuff.

Evilreaver: No, that's Dumbassery. Unless you're in tech support.

I used to have to help our stupid, incompetent neighbors with computer-related things. For example, "Rob's report that's due for class tomorrow won't print". And lo and behold, when I walk over there, the printer wasn't turned on.

All charities are fake.

We promise that at least 10% of your donation will actually go to the people it was meant for.

All donations go to help the family of Penny Brown.

/Please....won't you give?

"ATM out of order. Please leave deposits with guard."

A classic.

She could go legit by creating a charity to help the criminally inept...
2004-12-25 06:09:29 AM
If she gave 5% to a real charity, she'd be as legit as many of them are.

All she had to do was register the damn non profit.

Can somebody delete the massage manifesto for ease of reading if nothing else?
2004-12-25 10:08:05 AM
If they'd just waited a few days, Fark would probably have had an article where a list of massage sources would have been an on-topic response.

The only diff between this woman and real 'charities' is the real charities get 1% of the proceeds.
2004-12-25 11:39:00 AM
This probably happens a lot more often than people realize.

After the Eagan arrest, police cautioned the public about donating to boxes that were red and wooden, or clear plastic, with stickers of the Salvation Army logo or a picture of a missing little boy with brown hair.

People are advised to stop giving money to the poor and to call off all searches for missing children.

In my store we had some guy who dropped off a "charity" box with candy to take as a thank-you for a donation. He always left a few bucks in the clear tank so that people would see other donations and start giving.

I found out that he was full of crap, though. On the very bottom of the display, in almost microscopic print, was a line that said "the owner of this box will give an annual gift to the children's charity of his choice from a portion of these proceeds."

I found out that he made an annual $5 donation, and kept the rest.

After that, he didn't get very much in that "charity" box...
