Just two games, though. Well we are getting back into the swing of things.

The Canucks continue their pursuit of the #1 pick ...

Even after the Canucks shipped off Horvat, my Blackhawks have a much better shot at #1, especially if 88 and 19 allow trades. It's really sad how irrelevant they've become.

The sad fact about the Canucks is that they weren't even trying to pursue the top pick in the draft when the season began, their owner has never been able to commit to a full rebuild.  They just had the wheels come off their season.  At least Chicago is absolutely wretched on purpose instead of by accident.

This might be just because I've had a weird work schedule this week, but the transition back from the All-Star break has felt unusually awkward this year.

Nice shot for Dallas at the end of the period, but Gustavsson is there.  Goose eggs after one.

My game was blacked out last night and I couldn't find it streaming. Not a happy camper.

Didn't they come back last night?

Anyhow, Bruins get their CBA-mandated 5 days after the break and don't start till Saturday afternoon.

After watching Northeastern whoop BU on Monday night, it's OK.

Monday's Beanpot Final will be the first time in the 70yr history of the Beanpot that Northeastern and Harvard will play each other in the Final. Which is incredible, considering there are only 4 teams that play in it every year.

They did, but this is the first slate of Wednesday games since the All-Star game.  That's why the headline says Wednesday night hockey is back, not the NHL is back.  Regardless, congratulations on Northeastern's success in the Beanpot!

And Old Minnesota increases their lead to 3-0.

Nice passing by New Minnesota to set up a tap in, back to Dreaded.  3-1 Stars

Yeah, I'd say that was rightfully waived off for goaltender interference.  No goal for the Wild, we end the period still at 3-1 Dallas.

And to show how dumb the NHL scheduling is, the Coyotes had their "bye week" last week; then played Monday night at home, followed by not having a game until going on a 3 game Super Bowl weekend road trip starting Friday

They will, somehow, fail at failing.
