Well, let's do the Elon test.  Leave Twitter offline for two weeks.  If everybody is OK at the end of the two weeks, we clearly do not need Twitter in our society.

That's a whole other ball of wax related to the sacking of most of their content moderation folks. I don't think any suits have been formally initiated yet, but Twitter has been put on notice that they are forthcoming if they don't get their act together pronto. They're being challenged by multiple countries on multiple fronts. (Nazi imagery, child porn, hate speech, etc.) I'm sure Elmo will publicly moan about liberals "cancelling" him when one of these countries gets tired of waiting for him to address the problem and just bans Twitter.

Turkey did ban Twitter the other day. Not sure if that was why.

This isn't a problem, it's an example of private sector efficiency!

Glory be to Musk who has whittled down the people and processes at twitter to the bare minimum needed to almost maintain system stability.

He's really maximized efficiency and minimized ongoing operating losses.

Owait, I predicted this when he fired the on-call escalation engineers that worked there over a decade and yanked the cables from the failover severs in Sacramento.

I said 'global outage by end of January' though, so I was off by about a week, dammit.

Apparently no one else realized that someone "accidently" pushed the muskrats new money making scheme live before it could be finished up, because that waste of oxygen would absolutely limit how many tweets you can do in a day unless you shell out some money
