This is why Roku and DoorDash are banking on your desire to stay fused to the couch when you get hungry, and they're partnering up to profit off of it. Restaurant Business Online reports that viewers will soon be able to order a meal through their TV via interactive advertising while watching a show.

I don't think it is considering it requires either scanning a QR code, or entering your phone number which will then text a link to the app.

There are a handful of good restaurants in my area that deliver that are my go-tos. Not one of them is a national chain that advertises on Roku, or anyone else. Because if you're at the point where you need you Wendy's Double BaconOhGodWhyAmISuchAFatass delivered, you should really stop and reconsider every live choice that brought you to this spot.

When I watch TV shows about people who are so fat that they're unable to leave their bed to get their 9 daily meals, I always like to think about how they're probably smeared full of feces between their fat rolls, because they can even reach their own butt with their short flappy arms.
