They're buying the land in our biggest AG states. Yes, that is a problem.

Now try and buy something there.

You're going to have to sexy it up more than that if you want me to stay awake and care about things happening in a place called North Dakota or Whyoming.

so many people are complaining that the chinese are buying all this land.

It would be strange that we allowed the sale of so much real estate to foreign investors, except we're basically an overseas tax shelter.

Well, they aren't using the money to buy land in China, because foreigners aren't allowed:

I have an issue with that article. Montana doesn't have 900 citizens total, so how do they claim that one city has that many. I think Montana has maybe a couple dozen - at most.

Same reason they get mad at the migrants for working and not the gringos that hire them: can't risk criticizing their buddies.

Otherwise it was articles about farmland being bought up by shell companies with Chinese connections and OK politicians posturing & blustering about how they're going to look into it. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a ve$ted intere$t in it somehow.

OK. We have no choice but to buy China. Then we won't be foreigners.

I now suspect China is using secret hog farms, to clone republicans into MAGA; goes to a private ranch and is never the same person again....

Foreign ownership of US property should be limited to condos in New York City and San Francisco.

Any prime land, especially agricultural land, should be off limits for national security reasons.

Why? It's not like they're going to walk away with it. If we end up at odds with the Chinese, commandeer the land for the duration.

Then they can use the condos to bribe voters into changing the laws of those cities to favor China. That won't benefit them at all.

I remember in the 80's it was the Japanese that were going to take us over and buy everything up.  They went wild buying real estate.  We pocketed all that money.  They even bought Rockefeller Center, which apparently was an outrage.
