This is a pretty big change. Basically if you're in incognito mode, you'll need to log into Google to see any NSFW results. People go to incognito because they don't want people looking over their shoulders, so this definitely going to drive people away.

Want to see creepy? Go to Bing and search for nude beach. It will come up in moderate mode and show clothed people. And lots of clothed little girls. This implies that if you turned safe search off, you'd see naked children. You don't, of course, but apparently the system is detecting and deleting/hiding that stuff.

I don't know how all those filters and things do stuff but they must work awfully hard to keep the weird stuff out.

You could turn off saving search history, or just delete the last 15 minutes.

Also, delete your last 15 minutes of browser history . . .

Although both of those are more painful than picking a different search engine (and browser) than the ones you use normally.

And nuke that browser's history from orbit.

So you need to be logged in so they can see your porn/fetish preferences. Yikes.

That said, no one's going to use Bing, ever. Duck Duck Go is the place you flee to when you want to search for things you don't want logged.
