Kyrie Irving also thinks the Earth is flat, on top of being an anti-Semitic, anti-vaxxing lunatic. He's got all his nutjob bases covered. If it comes out that he voted for Donald Trump, that'll be the cherry on top of the shiat sundae.

The dude may be good at throwing an orange ball through a hoop, but when it comes to everything but that...giant loser.

I don't think anybody making eight digits a year is "disrespected".

As a Mav's fan, I'm embarrassed that this guy's on "my" team.

Also a Mav's fan, I have no idea how you're going to integrate a ball dominate guard on a team that features the 2nd highest usage rate player in the league.

Also I think giving up Finney Smith is a mistake

Totally worth putting up with him for all the championships he delivered for the Nets.

As a non-Mavs fan (not a hater, just not a fan) I am wondering what the actual f*ck they're doing. It seems... unwise to bring Kyrie into that locker room, much less put him on the court with Luka.

Everyone talks about what I'm doing off the floor. I just want to change that narrative

if you don't want people talking about all the farked up shiat you say, stop saying farked up shiat

If Kyrie accepts responsibility for his actions, plays unselfishly, and shares the spotlight with Luka, then he'll do well.  If he behaves the way he's been behaving... could be interesting.

Apparently, at some point in the last month or so (no one is quite sure when, it was noticed near the end of Jan), Kyrie removed his "apology" post about the antisemitic stuff from Instagram. Now, of course, that could just be a mistake, could be something innocent - but let's face it, this is the same guy who also insists that it's impossible for him to be antisemitic because of his heritage or something.

That initial "if" is doing a lot of work for that sentence.

like respect, disrespect is earned, and he has certainly done that.

Yeah, I know.  This might not actually be a train wreck, but the odds are not good.  Maybe they get half of a good season out of him while he attempts to show everyone who criticized him, but over the summer, the issues will likely return.

Much like Germany releasing Lenin into Russia during World War I, I strongly believe the Mavs should turn around and trade him to the Lakers.

Enjoy the calm before the Category 5 sh*tstorm hurricane that is Kyrie Irving strikes.

I think because he actually does want people talking about him and to feed his need to feel like a victim an unwanted?

It's because they have a shoe guy as their GM.  I assume they hired him because he has relationships with a lot of star athletes and figured that might give them an edge in free agency (it hasn't) but he has experience actually putting together a basketball team.

rather he has no experience putting together a basketball team.

I think the Nets would have loved it if the only thing they needed to address was his skill on the basketball court. But no. The earth is flat, vaccines are bad, and insert whatever antisemitic nonsense he said here.

The first thing he did as a Mav is whine about how he was done wrong by the Nets.

He also helped Cleveland win a title so he is all good in my book.

Hell, once upon a time that word did all of the work because it was the only word received.

It's not just the Nets who have no respect for you, Kyrie. Jewish people everywhere don't respect you. Same for most scientists, epidemiologists, doctors, anyone who has ever looked at a globe, regular people with a conscience....

No wonder he didn't fit in well in Brooklyn.

I doubt he actually thinks the earth is flat.   He posted a link of a video that discussed Jewish people's role in the slave trade.  That doesn't make him anti-Semitic.   He personally didn't want the vax in his own body, but he didn't prevent others from getting the jab or even recommend they don't... In hindsite, its all worked out for him, so who are we to question these decisions?
