Lies.
The last word Santos said whilst turning back was "party."

Rep. George Santos describes

Stopped reading there.  I guarantee you, Santos lied about it.  I mean, it's what he does.  He can't control himself.

Seriously who cares?  Let's see Mitt step to Santos and curb stomp that goofy biatch. I'd celebrate that. This?  This is underwhelming third grade repartee.

Ohhhhh, Mittens fight! Wonder if the magic underwear will come off.

*vomits*

2023-02-08 3:06:30 AM
And then he grabbed him in a headlock and gave him a noogie and said "Nobody will ever believe you."

2023-02-08 3:16:56 AM
Uh oh Santos, Javert is on the case.

Lol Mitt is so ridiculous

Your voters hate you too now, liar.

142k voters?

So, one voter for every time Santos has lied about his mother dying?

2023-02-08 3:19:28 AM
Yeah, Mitt's a dick but he wouldn't call someone an ass.

2023-02-08 3:20:56 AM
Even if all of that is true, the easy response is, "No your voters voted for an imaginary Republican you made up."

Santos: Go tell that to the 142K that voted for me.
Mitt: You mean the ones who came to your office to demand your resignation? They're right behind you.
Santos: D'oh! Gotta run!

2023-02-08 3:29:10 AM
142K people didn't vote for Santos. They voted for who he fraudulently claimed to be.

2023-02-08 3:30:03 AM
Mitt: You don't belong here.
Santos: Go tell that to the 142K that voted for me.

What really happened is Santos stood there dumbstruck and a few minutes later came up with what he wished he'd said. Then Santos told the reporter the fantasy that made him seem like he had an on-the-spot riposte.

Mitt: Human emotions.

He won an argument that he recounted? That's incredible!

Oh sh*t, until now I absolutely loathed George Santos but with this revelation, he should be President for life. And monkeys should fly out of my butt.

2023-02-08 3:53:12 AM
142K people didn't vote for him. They voted for a Rep who was a successful businessman, educated at top universities, had experience in top financial institutions, a securely out gay man who said he had solid conservative beliefs.

But instead they got this chode.

2023-02-08 4:05:29 AM
Maybe Mitt said the first thing but I am sure the rest was Santos lying.

Yeast No 7: Yeah, Mitt's a dick but he wouldn't call someone an ass.

I dunno. Mitt has said things we all heard that should be surprising coming from someone of his religion, at least for those who know anything about it.

Remember his offer during an RNC primary debate to bet Rick Perry $10k about something in a book? The news media was all about how out-of-touch with the middle class that made him seem, to just casually wager such a large amount of money as if it were nothing. They missed the bigger story: just seven years before that, Mitt was likely in personal attendance in Salt Lake City, or at least was watching remotely, when then-Prophet of the LDS Church Gordon B. Hinckley gave a General Conference address on the subject of gambling of any kind, including bets and wagers, being forbidden and sinful to members of that religion. And yet there Mitt is just seven years later repeatedly offering a wager on nationally broadcast TV without batting an eye.

Then there was the time when he said in a campaign speech or interview (I'm blanking on which it was) that the poor are to blame for their poverty. Saying such a thing is expressly forbidden in The Book of Mormon, and it even says that whoever does that stands in danger of losing their salvation! Mosiah Chapter 4, part of King Benjamin's address to the Nephites, key verses 16−18.

Then there was the time he openly condoned his party taking Obama's words out of context (I think it was about them naming a whole day of the 2012 RNC, "You Didn't Build That"). When a reporter pressed him on that and spoke of it being very much out of context, Mitt replied, "Well, he did say the words." But Latter-Day Saints must affirm during interviews for Temple recommends and for holding any priesthood position including Bishop or Stake President (both of which Mitt had been) or Elder (nearly all adult males are that, not just the missionaries) that they are and have been completely honest in all dealings with God and man. Out of context is a dishonest tactic.

Moreover, uhm, "there is no God." You know who said those words, Mitt? Your scriptures did. Almost three dozen times all told (34 total) if you count the KJV (preferred LDS Bible translation) and JST-LDS (Joseph Smith Translation [the "-LDS" is to distinguish iat from the otherwise unrelated Julia Smith Translation) separately (22 if you don't).

• 12 times in the KJV (Deuteronomy 32:39, I Kings 8:23, II Kings 1:16 & 5:15, I Chronicles 17:20; Psalms 14:1 & 53:1; Isaiah 44:6,8 & 45:5,14,21 [plus two more in the KJV Apocrypha but the LDS don't consider that fully canon])

• Those same 12 + 1 more in the JST-LDS (Luke 16:21)

• 8 times in The Book of Mormon ― starting with twice in one verse!: (II Nephi 2:13 [2×] & 28:5; Alma 11:24 & 30:40,45,53; Mormon 9:2)

• Once in The Pearl of Great Price, a lesser-known volume of LDS scripture: (Moses 1:6)

How would Mitt and other Christians feel if an atheist political party used those words from the Bible (and LDS scriptures) to claim that the scriptures teach atheism, and named a day of their party convention after that four-word clause? But the scriptures do say those words.

OK seriously, has anyone ever seen Santos and Sascha Baron Cohen in the same room together? This guy can't be for real. He cant. He's a cartoonish oaf trying to play a part he's not equipped to play. He's in way over his head and it's sad.

Gordon Bennett: 142K people didn't vote for Santos. They voted for who he fraudulently claimed to be.

You're not wrong, but I don't see it as significantly different than any other politician or campaign. Watch any campaign ad, and then tell me that the fictionalized person that spends all day wearing hardhats and talking to people in blue collared shirts and kissing puppies is the person getting elected. That's what campaigns fundamentally do; they present a fictionalized representation of a real human being to vote for.

The biggest difference between Santos and any other case is simply the lack of subtlety and craft. People are upset for two reasons: firstly because he's just not very good at it, and secondly because he's not very good at it and even still, he didn't get found out until after he was elected. That bolded part is the most damning thing in this whole Santos drama.

To the extent that any of his fraudulent claims are criminal, then of course he should be prosecuted for those. But it should not be shocking to anyone that somebody lied to get elected.

Outside of NYC and Buffalo the state is Trump country. They know who they voted for, don't believe otherwise

Yeah - no Mormon in his right mind would utter that kind of 'curse' word.

You'd think with how prolific he is, Santos would make his lies kinda believable....I'm amazed he didn't add 'And he threw his jack and coke in my face!'

No? To me, "ass" sounds exactly like the sort of Thurston Howell, stuffed shirt insult Romney'd be comfortable with, like calling him "a Yale man."

emtwo: The biggest difference between Santos and any other case is simply the lack of subtlety and craft.

The difference is that he lied about his experience and qualifications. He lied about his education. He lied about his work experience. He lied about his family and personal experiences. These are things that voters rely upon when choosing a candidate. That goes far beyond the standard disingenuous pandering that politicians engage in. It's fraud, and he has no more of an ethical right to remain in office than anyone else who lied about their education and experience to get hired does in their job.

Then the voters should have listened to the people telling them "Santos" was lying.

They didn't, so they don't get to pretend they were somehow duped. They knew what was up.

I would argue lying about policy positions is worse than lying about personal background. One of them is part of the job.

*vomits*

*cleans up vomit*  Feel better.  Sorry, but you got me thinking...you don't have to read the rest...don't know what's coming yet...

I know, right?  Magic underwear guy that shiats on poor people and whose religion is, well ding dong lol, has passing "words" with santo claus.  That's our gov.  There had to be an official mormon leaker to their press contact "watch mittens light up the guy that lies" - after the obvious "he's going to punch himself as he walks down the aisle" joke, they tell their press buds and all eyes are on mittens and - you had to be looking for it to "see" it.  So manufactured..."you don't belong here."  fighting words to a serial liar?  smart mittens...hell mittens, you got the votes, but your entire being screams you don't belong there...I don't care how "mature" you are you stand for, well, yourself for sure.  Even trying to make that a fight is farking embarrassing as hell.  farking romney.  The only person that could have had success sendingg santos packing is the cheney spawn, and they were done with her and quite frankly so were we really.  Hell...mittens should light up the new speaker...but he looks like the tougher pu$$y.  I should not have started the morning like this.
