The NBA on TNT crew is the best in the business.

Also, fark Skip Bayless. Jalen should have gone in even harder.

Still doesn't know why you play a zone.

I once saw Skip Bayless on a TV with the sound off and he was still annoying.

I'd pay to watch Barkley give o'l skip the Jim Rome treatment...

The article "both-sided" Skip Bayless. No...

Barkley is all too human and flawed. Skip is a tantrum-laden toddler who is way too serious about sports, while, at the same time not objective, insightful or even interesting.

I thought Skip Bayless was a professional asshole.  And that you only have an issue if you decide you actually like the guy.

Yes, Charles Barkley makes mistakes on-air and mispronounces names. He can say dumb things and sound like a fool. The best and most prepared announcers on TV make mistakes. To turn that into "he talks about respect, but doesn't always practice what he says" is a sh*tty thing for the article writer to do.

Skip Bayless is a pompous, arrogant, egomaniacal jackoff who thinks he's the smartest man on Earth when it comes to sports and makes the dumbest statements using junk statistics to back them up. Things like Mahomes is a good QB, but Prescott is elite, when Mahomes had a better record and was playing in the Super Bowl. He's like a grotesque parody of the serious sports fan and it's hard to tell if it's a performance or his actual personality.

It's complete performance.  He's the heel in wrestling.  ESPN knows he generates clicks, so they'll keep having him do it.

ESPN knows it's a parody. Does Skip?

Skip Bayless is playing a character on TV and he's damn near perfected his craft. See also Screamin' A. Smith.

I watched them years ago and you could almost see Skip smirking while making some absurd point. He knew it was totally bullshiat but that was what he was being paid to do.

Skip hasn't been on ESPN for years now. He started Skip and Shannon on Fox back in 2016.

I believe at the core Charles believes what he says and will say it even if it's hurtful or controversial.

At the core Skip doesn't believe most of what he says and says it only because it's hurtful or controversial.

I simply can't listen to people as disingenuous as that guy.

Skip Bayless is a douchebg who takes himself way too seriously.

Chuck is a clown who KNOWS he's a clown and is happy with his lot in life.

Big difference.

Rick Bayless Recipe time!

Short Rib (or Lamb) Tortilla Soup with Pasilla Chile, Cilantro and Feta

Ingredients:

For the broth

1large white onion, chopped into ½-inch pieces
1/2head head of garlic, cloves peeled and halved
3pounds bone-in flanken cut short ribs OR lamb shoulder chops (about 1 inch thick)
2tablespoons vinegar (optional, but it will give the broth a more velvety texture by drawing gelatinous components from joints and bones)
3 bay leaves
4 or 5sprigs of thyme (or a teaspoon dried thyme)
1tablespoon salt

For finishing the soup:

Vegetable oil to a depth of about 1 inch for frying
6 corn tortillas, cut into thin strips
3dried pasilla chiles, stemmed, seeded and torn into several flat pieces
4 garlic cloves, peeled and left whole
1small white onion, sliced
1 15-ounce can fire-roasted tomatoes, drained OR 12 ounces (about 2 medium-small round or 4 plum) ripe tomatoes, cored and roughly chopped
Salt
6ounces mild, good-quality feta, crumbled
A big handful of cilantro leaves
1large ripe avocado, pit removed, flesh scooped from the skin and cut into ½-inch pieces
1large lime, cut into wedges

Instructions

Make the broth. In the pot of your electric pressure cooker, combine all of the ingredients with 3 quarts of water (the level should be no higher than 2/3 of the depth of the pot).  Pressure cook on high for 1 hour.Quick release the pressure, open the cooker and fish out just the meat.  Pull the meat from the bones, return the bones to thecooker, secure the top and pressure cook on high for another hour. You'll get the best flavor if you let the pressure release naturally rather than utilizing the quick-release valve).  Strain the cooker's contents and you're ready to use your delicious broth.

Other preliminaries. In a medium (4-quart) saucepan, heat the oil over medium high until it is shimmering (about 350 degrees on a thermometer).  Test a strip of tortilla to make sure that it sizzles vigorously when laid into the oil.  In batches, fry the tortilla strips until they are crisp, usually just about a minute.Using a slotted spoon or mesh spider strainer, remove the strips to paper towels to drain.

Pour out all buta light coating of oil on the bottom of your saucepan, set overmedium heat and, when hot, lay in the flat chile pieces.  Turn them quickly as they toast, crisp and release their aroma-it'll only take about 10 or 15 seconds per side. Remove to drain with the tortilla strips, then add the onion to the pan.  Cook, stirring regularly until richly browned, 8 to 10 minutes.  Add the garlic and stir for another minute or 2, until the garlic has softened. Scrape the mixture into a blender jar, leaving behind as much oil as possible.  Addhalf of the toasted chiles andall ofthe tomatoes.Blend to a smooth puree.

Set the saucepan over medium-high heat and, when hot, scrape in the puree.Cook, stirring frequently, until reduced to the consistency of tomato paste, about10 minutes.  Add6 cups of your meat broth, the cumin, black pepper and oregano.  Bring to a boil, then simmer overmedium-lowfor 30 minutes to bring the flavors together.  Taste and season with salt, usually about  1/2 teaspoon.

Serve.  Divide the broth betweenwarm bowls.  Top each with a portion of thetortilla strips, feta, cilantro leaves, avocado andremainingchile, crumbled between your fingers.  Pass the lime wedgesfor everyone to squeeze into the soup as they wish.
