1) Email your OUTRAGE to your conservative friends about the ease of searching for child exploitation link. Include examples of search terms. Make sure to phrase it as if it's a liberal thing.
2) Forward your friend's email accounts to the FBI

Asking the subhuman conservative filth to behave isn't imposing values on anyone despite the crying from losers that literally need to have absolute control of the terms of and platform being used in order to have a debate.

No one got banned for saying taxes should be lower or government should be smaller.

They got banned because they couldn't cope with people disagreeing with them.

Conservative views are overwhelmingly presented as the only way we should do things and they still lose. They like to pretend it is because they don't get to present their case but the reality is they get more then a fair hearing, it is just their ideology is so toxic it is abhorrent to anyone who is a decent person and is capable of critical thought.

So they demand to control the mic instead of wondering why people laugh at them when they make claims.  It does work to a certain extent but it is barely working despite being treated far better then anyone even vaguely leftist would be by the media or on platforms like Twitter.

Look, tweeters had a lot of fun acting smug and orotund and sassy and plugged-in and oversmart and wise and fun-loving and all the other things that matter to boring people.

But the platform was always private. And they sold out. It's Musk's beloved toy now and he can do what he wants.

Be consoled by the knowledge that the tech is easy to clone, and something else will spring up in its place that is better than Tweeter just like Tweeter was better than PHPBB.

But you'll never be that age again, and no one will ever be able to fool you back into believing that any of it mattered. Let it go and grow up and smile and do something new. Yours is not theirs and there is nothing new under the sun.

I made the move to Mastodon in December and am having much more fun over there than I ever did on Twitter. Made a parting tweet to that effect and had idiots responding stuff like "Oh, you think it's fun getting banned because someone on your server disagrees with you and then you're restricted from the whole platform?"

Um...yes. I think it's awesome that instances have their own TOS (most of which are variations on "don't be dick") and are not afraid to kick assholes out of the conversation. That's why I'm there. Twitter has always been a bit of a dumpster fire, but now it's like Elon is trying to fix the dumpster fire by dropping a series of increasingly full porta-pottys on it.

The ironic part is that 4chan never relied on advertising that wasn't already selling Waifu pillows, and moderation never existed in the first place beyond "don't post stuff that will legally get us taken down, down post stuff that isn't relevant to the board". It was started by people coming from the Something Awful forums, 4chan never aspired or claimed to be anything of value, and always openly embraced its nature as the gutter of the internet.
