Such a great sports town - way more championships than NY, Chicago or LA. In 3 different sports.

If the GOP wins, it's election fraud until proven otherwise.

Actually in this case I would agree because the races in question are in districts that are some of the most-heavily Democrat in the state.

Pittsburgh is my hometown.  My parents, in-laws, and extended family are all still there.   I will refrain from making snarky comments about it.   :-)
Make sure you visit the Andy Warhol museum, if you have time.   And try a Battleship Sub (in Rankin)!!!

I only spent 3 days in downtown Pittsburgh back in '18. I love the wacky architecture! The old courthouse, the Batman building, the big rusty skyscraper and the stadiums make quite a menagerie. Mt. Washington is beautiful and so are all the suspension bridges spanning the rivers. I was there for Pride weekend and had a wonderful time. The Andy Warhol museum was very interesting.

When I think about leaving Texas, I think about Pittsburgh.

I'm watching it with great interest, especially after Republicans tried to delay it. I think we have a good chance. That would give us a Democratic house to go with our Democratic governor and two Democratic national senators.

I don't want to jinx it but I think Pennsylvania is getting bluer.

Also, FUCK Pat Toomey.

/Seriously
//Fuck him

It's a thing. (shrug)
The original Primanti Brothers sandwich shop location (the place that you see on every nationally televised sporting event) is next to an old warehouse terminal district*. Local lore tells that they put fries on their sandwiches before wrapping the whole thing in wax paper, so truck drivers could eat a whole meal with one hand and drive with the other. Over time, it just became a local food thing to do.

* The warehouse district was active well into the 2010s, and was heavily featured in the movie Hoffa. It's only been in the last dozen years or so that the warehouses were finally torn down or repurposed as retail spaces.
Look up "The Strip District," it's still a really interesting part of the city.

It's a great city.  I've flown to Texas 4 times from Pittsburgh.

Not very cold, not very snowy in the winter.  Not overly hot in the summer.  Mostly pleasant weather.  Pretty cheap to live in.

/Hopefully moving to Pittsburgh here soon.
//Or west coast, but I think I'll stay close to family for now.

Sorry to hear that.

Nothing wrong with Primanti's pie per se, but I've had pizza that makes it taste like frozen pizza from dollar general.

Wut? You have no idea what you're talking about.

Pittsburgh votes overwhelmingly Dem, always. Over 80% as a matter of fact.
And we did get the Dems control of the PA House.
