His son took himself out in jail and Jerry pulled the plug.

Feel how you feel about Jerry but no father deserves to go through that.

Hopefully she's older than 15 this time.

Is this some kind of new angle? Do I look like a mark?  I'm not buying it.

Saw him wrestle last fall. Looked better than just about everyone else there.

Andy Kaufman's long con is starting to take shape.

He needs to rest, so no one send him PUPPIES to his hotel room!

Lawler is the poster boy for why you only take big bumps in big matches.  He worked a low impact style with good psychology on a typical night, bringing out the hard stuff for the blow off matches.

That would be Grandmaster Sexay.  Scotty 2 Hotty was his tag team partner back in the day.

He still has another son.

I still remember that clip being replayed on TV....late 90s or early, 00s, IIRC.

My Mom saw me watching it, and she was convinced that their beef was real....it took me a while to convince her that it was not.

Incredible acting by Lawler and Kaufman.

Lawler expanding on the Kaufman feud was probably the highlight for me so far on "Tales From the Territories" I haven't watched all episodes yet, though.  Anyone interested in that chapter of pro wrestling history should watch that specific episode (Episode 2).

Jerry Jarrett had wrestling promoters calling him up and thanking him for teaching that Hollywood blowhard a lesson.   In my mind that makes it the greatest angle ever created in the business.

Need to watch that Memphis episode sometime.  All of the others were mind-blowing with some of the antics and stories behind many of their angles.

WHAT IS HIS VACCINATION STATUS???!!!!

Get the REAL story, sheeple.

Im mildly surprised that he's not closer to 80 years old.  It really seems like he's been around forever, because he has been.

Also, considering he's long been a teetotaler/healthy living guy..... how is it he's had repeated strokes and heart attacks, and ric flair... well, i think if flair wasn't a drinker that he'd have had a regular in-ring career to 70 years old.

Brian Christopher seemed like a good dude, and I was lucky enough to meet him in 2015 when working for a local wrestling company as part of the ring crew... but him and Scotty still had a hell of a lot of charisma and worked well together despite not wrestling as a tag team regularly for years. Scotty recently left social media after people were calling him names after talking about refusing to wrestle women after saying he had a daughter in her early 20s.

/Radar, what is this cow flubdubbery?

Yup.

And as much as I love the Attitude Era, I had to do a face palm when she got knocked up my Mark Henry and gave birth to a hand.

Long term story telling was in full effect when an adult Hand Boy showed up on Raw.

The Attitude Era was kind of terrible when Austin, Rock or Foley weren't involved.   There's a lot of terrible stuff that people forgot because it wasn't "Mae Young gives birth to a hand" bad, just bad.

Exactly. DX was a fun part of it, in patches, but it was never the driving force behind the AE. And that it was positioned as such, just because Austin and Vince weren't talking for a while, was superlatively fraudulent.

Exactly. People act like wrestling is soooo much worse these days, but wrestling has always been roughly 90% shiat and 10% stuff that keeps you watching
