You do see it A VERY LITTLE in later model Mauser C96s. However....those tend to be self-modified, not factory models.

The genius is not in the magazine, it's in the action. You can cycle a k31 much faster than a regular bolt.

Yah, I'm pretty sure it is what you see them using in modern biathalon rifles. Watching them shoot is weird, the motions all seem so specific to that one application.
