I accidentally discovered some of the best pizza I've ever had, and it's unbelievably (a) in Maui, (b) in a tourist area, and (c) the specific pie is the awkwardly-named "Elon Musk Must Try."

The owner/chef is straight from Italy and learned under a 2-time world champion pizza maker.

Almost every day is Pizza Day here. My husband test drives outdoor grills, pizza ovens, pizza dough, pizza sauce, and such. We invited a friend over Saturday night to decorate five pies made from local dough.

List starts with 7-Eleven. Better than Mama Celeste, yes. Ya passed the Mendoza Line of pizza, 7-Eleven. Congrats.

But would I spend $7 for a whole one? Only in total desperation and nothing else is available. I can get a pizza from the grocery store for cheaper usually. You might even find a Red Baron or DiGiorno's cheaper than that in some 7-Eleven freezers, and they're better IMO.

And oh yeah, almost every one of these has "app" bullshiat on it. My phone has enough, no thank you.

Some of those "deals" aren't even unique to pizza day.

The Slice deal ($5 off your first order) they do all the time. First time I used Slice I got $5 off.

The Hungry Howie's deal is a dollar less than the deal they offer regularly.

Was actually what I got on my bday as a teen. I think the last "cake" I ever had was in my teens and pineapple upside down.

Thanks! We rescued some geriatric jalapeños and frozen meatloaf for that one. Half the fun is seeing what you can salvage from the freezer and cabinets.

Pizza with pineapple is probably my favorite as long as it includes ham and jalapeños.  Pineapple by itself on a pizza?  Yeah, not so much.

Those dough bubbles annoy me sometimes, do I bought one of these to roll over the dough before topping.  Seems I only really need it in the outdoor ovens.

They're also for existing rewards members. I suppose that encouraging repeat business like this can ensure customer loyalty, and therefore more repeat business.
