I went out to see the comet last night.

Had to lay down to see it, as it was just about straight up, but the moon came out later, so there was time to set up.  I think I saw it, but there was no spotter scope, so it is debatable.

I found another "sim" program on Steam. "Juno: New Origins." Described thusly:

After six years of development, what began as a simple rocket simulator has become a comprehensive aerospace sandbox in which you can bring to life anything you can imagine - from rockets, airplanes, and cars to entire planets.

Bring to life anything you can imagine from rockets and airplanes to cars and more. Automate them with a visual programming language. Explore 3D planets and make your own.

I need to get my lazy ass out there to view it

It has its own physics engine?

Not sure.

I haven't played around with it.

Especially with a telescope.

It sounds like a good tool.  If you can give it a location, a vector velocity, and an orientation (quaternion) then it may not need a physics engine, especially if it updates at 30-60 Hz.  It would be good to have collision detection, and the ability to sit on the top of the terrain.

The lead article in Investor's Business Daily this week was about ChatGPT.  It described the contrast between a search engine and it.  Where Google returns many results, ChatGPT provides a story, it seems.

That is true. I've been somewhat actively using it.

I know it's early, but I gotta hit the hay. Meeting is early because it'll be not too late in India.

Have a great week!
