How many of those asshats I dealt with at our local abortion clinic really disgusted me. And then, we had those same asshats bring their daughters and granddaughters to the clinic because they got pregnant.

The point is to drive Democrat-voting people right out of their home states and areas, so they can have 50%+1 power in more places. It's a very good strategy, while it works, I guess. They'll never run out of churchy people who have no interest in policy but need to appear holier-than-thou.

"Defending Freedom." Oh, the irony.

Any pretense that the challenge has anything to do with safety is belied by this organization's involvement.

red states are passing abortion bounty laws, abortion travel laws, fetal heart beat laws, TRAP laws, have overturned RvW and now come after medication abortions in an era where the USSC is more than happy to accommodate them.

They aren't trying to outlaw it, they are outlawing it, and not all of the blue states have blue majority legislatures.

Wife had to go through a medically necessary one.  We were happily pregnant, but it turned into zygote dies or wife and fetus die (corneal pregnancy).  So, we chose the former.  It was heartbreaking and a really rough time, glad to see the GOP is so short sighted they want wife and fetus to die.

Eh, here's the thing: no there won't.  Abortions were going down before Dobbs because of advancements and education about birth control.  And late term abortions were never a thing except for medical necessity.  No one wants to get an abortion at 8 1/2 months because they decided to go partying instead.  That was all boogie men created by the religious right to scare people.

I know you know this and are lashing out, but I feel it's important to point out that the horror stories about abortion that led to Dobbs were all unmitigated horseshiat, and the opposite was actually true.

It really does reveal that it's all about controlling people. Decades ago religious types could say "You better act right. If you're promiscuous you could get a disease. You could have an unwanted pregnancy. So act the way we tell you to act to avoid all that."

But then a bunch of stupid science nerds discovered solutions to prevent STDs and unwanted pregnancies. Instead of celebrating, religious extremists screamed in agony. Because the point was never to avoid those problems. The point was to use those things as leverage to make you obey them.

They're driving pro choice people who normally wouldn't bother voting out of their houses to vote. Probably making one issue pro life voters not to bother, since their side "won". Let's see how that strategy works out for them.

It's always been about farking the poor and making as many white babbies as possible. Problem is they can't do that and spike birthd of minorities as well. It creates more problems than it solves for them, but they're too stupid to understand that.

I'd ask on what grounds is the case being made, but this is the judge that ruled that a daughter's genitals belong to her father 2 months ago so things like standing aren't likely to matter.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. Just because it's a straightforward decision doesn't mean it doesn't suck.
