Too many tentacles, or not enough?

know how some people cannot wear a wrist watch because of personal magnetism? with me I cannot get computer kiosks on doctors offices to work. and there will be people who cannot use this new gadget.

They think this is new? Nobody in Japan has a touch-on lamp?

If I wanted random surfaces to become touch surfaces... I'd probably just use a discrete camera and some motion detection.  You could use downward-facing camera tucked into crown molding to define an area of wall as a light switch or something.  Maybe a dimmer switch.

But if you're going to do that it'd be a hell of a lot better to have a location and context-sensitive smart watch app.  Why get up to go over to the light when your watch knows what room your in and offers you the appropriate controls?

Or, going back to the camera idea, you could have the system watch the whole room and use gesture control.  It might be fun to wire your home with two-way sound and be able to trigger a VOIP system with a finger-and-pinky gesture beside your head.

Then you and the rest of those magnetic, genetic freakshows are going to DIE.

It's all because they don't move fast enough, and get stepped on.

The intelligence community frowns upon these shenanigans.

I thought they all had to pilot mecha (that may or may not be huge men in shackles) when they hit 12-14 depending on the manufacturer.

Too much, in all the wrong places.

Or maybe insane property prices, crazy overworking hours, stupid after work expectations of team activities, and LOW PAY means adults can't get their adult lives going, plus cultural assumptions of male and female roles that are totally unrealistic in this environment.
Oh wait, did I just describe the US?  Nevermind it's all CRT's fault.

I've never worn any kind of jewelry. No rings, necklaces. Never worn or even owned a watch. Not sure why.
