Eh.... sorry if it was a bit stream of consciousness. I was sharing an anecdote about my experiences with the people you describe in your post. Tankies were playing a "NO YOU'RE THE FASCIST" game. Apparently Obama, Hillary, and anyone else who sent a "Sorry your husband died" note to Cindy McCain fail the "progressive" test. Expressing sympathy means they are collaborating with the Republicans, I guess? Goes to your point #1 - attack the Democrats every chance they get.

not to undermine any actual real world badasses here, but the memory was recalled and if you don't know this one already, you should take the time.

Disturbing, but also a sad and terrible kind of hilarious if you can take it.

Probably carries a special place with me as it's in my own home town of Austin Tx.
And this guy is just one example of what i thought normal people were as a kid.

And being where it is, it is kind of like a dark Slacker. Actual disturbing in a way that film was not, but still has a lot of that "Austin" vibe surrounding it, just honest and less savory parts of it that don't go on national display normally. But are what was seemingly normal growing up there.
