Fauchi is no stranger to criticism, he spent the 80s in the men's homosexual community studying and treating HIV/AIDS.  At the time he was told it would end his career, and the GOP had a saying that "AIDS, kills f*** dead".
The GQP won't ever admit they were wrong about covid and they hate Fauchi for exposing their scams.
Large numbers of former GOP officials get paid to speak, so what of it?

On a side note, Ken Niumatalolo is not a federal employee.  Navy's football coaches work for the Naval Academy Athletic Association.  Most college coaches get paid a base salary, usually a couple hundred thousand, and the rest of their pay comes from the booster club and other affiliated contracts.  In the Navy's case, his entire paycheck comes from the booster club, which only gets something like 5% of it's funding from the DoD.
