The DA will have to do some work to make sure no Trumpers get on the jury but it can be done and since those guys like to loudly announce who they are, it could be as simple as dismissing any white person who shows up in a pickup truck.

I can think of several scenarios where I'm fine with it.

I can also think of several where he deserves prison.

This article gives me no indication either way, but if they arrested him and are pressing first degree murder charges I have to believe they have something on him.

I guess it all depends on motive. Everyone can speculate all they want and jizz their pants about throwing the book at an old white guy. But, TFA does not give a potential motive and I applaud the journalist for only writing the facts. Trial will tell the truth and then we can go about our pathetic lives of trying to out virtue signal each other.

One key life skill - and one not too new-fangled and Internet-dependent to be inaccessible to even a septuagenarian like this guy - is learning the difference between what Kevin Costner does on television and what you can do in real life.

Besides, they took the trouble to write into the show how the guy has dirt on the local sheriff, his son is the Attorney General, and he has a crew of hardened criminals working a vast swath of inaccessible wilderness within which to hide the bodies.

This guy doesn't appear to have had any of that, from what I can tell.

This was in Santa Cruz County, so finding a jury that's gonna let him walk is far from a foregone conclusion. It's pretty country out there, though, there's great hiking and biking out by the border.

While this story does stick to the facts, the line "It's unclear if the men knew each other" and the clear first degree murder (and not manslaughter) charges leads me to speculate that this guy was totally underpaying an illegal migrant worker and decided to shoot him to make it appear as a trespassing migrant had crossed his property and was threatening him (with what? A voting card?).

Because, honestly, i'm with Fark on this one- Normally, these cases don't get prosecuted at all, or are considered manslaughter. I bet the police have some evidence here to think that this wrinkled race bannon is trying to pull a fast one.
