Philly burns no matter what Sunday night. I'd rather it be for a loss so Eagles fan in my office is back to being miserable and full of anger.

You sound like the miserable one, to be honest.

Any evidence of Philly "burning" in the past after a sporting event that you can provide? Ordinary parades and parties don't count.

When I think "Philly fans celebrating" I think "horse crap buffet", not "city in flames."

Right, because it's not the FARK way to judge an entire fanbase by the actions of one fan.

with how things get priced, only a brain damaged monkey escaped from its testing lab would be stupid enough to buy tickets for something they can enjoy more from home

I grew up near Philly and and if you told me Philly was burning, I'd wonder what neighborhood the cops had bombed now.

The city I was born in burned, shortly after my birth.  (NOT MY FAULT I SWEAR.)  The city I went to college in burned, a few years before my birth.  But those were both on the other side of the river.

It's hard enough for those of who were around at the time (I was 11) to not believe that was a bad dream, I really have to wonder what people today who first read about it think. ("Wait.... the cops dropped... a BOMB, a friggin' BOMB... in the middle of the city... ON PURPOSE?  You sure this isn't a bad movie plot someone is trying to pass off as fact?")

You just insulted the tens of thousands of people going to the game and possibly millions of people who wish they could go, all because they like what you don't.
/ I don't want to spend that kind of money either, but I am aware enough to know my opinion is not the only opinion.

I'll be there. My wife booked two Center City rooms for Fri-Mon. She did it during the 2nd quarter of the divisional round against the Giants so she got them before prices shot up. Our daughters will be joining us and I'm looking forward to it.

I'm a bit older than you, and I failed to mention earlier that the cities I was born in and went to college in burned in response to the police beating people to death.  So MOVE was a clusterfark, bad and wrong and a tragedy, but didn't particularly change who I already knew cops in the cities were, at least when it came to anyone less white than me.
