After Chelsea next week is Sarah Silverman. I don't know what order the next ones are, but Al Franken, John Leguizamo, Hasan Minhaj, Kal Pen, and Marlon Wayans are in the roster.

So what are they doing, spinning the wheel of b-list celebrities to find a host?

Maybe it's time just to let the show die? It's been down hill since Jon Stewart left.

Jon Stewart had something great. J Oliver took some of it with him. But he and Colbert got out of the game at the right time. The people who see through Republican's fear mongering and demonization of the "other" aren't laughing about it anymore. And all the fart jokes on the world aren't going to entice the people who buy into it to reconsider.

I'll watch it for the first time in years for Sarah Silverman.

Some pretty good zingers so far in this. "Pot calling the kettle 'Q-Anon'."

I always like Chelsea when she fills in for Jimmy Kimmel. She's a natural for this.

That dude has co-creator of a syndicated network tv show money, Comedy Central can't afford him.

It went downhill a couple of years before Jon Stewart left.

She manages to be breathtakingly mean and howlingly funny at the same time.

Leslie's my favorite so far. She seems the most comfortable and energetic so far.

b-list or not they've been pretty funny so far imo.

She was far better than I expected. I haven't had a ton of exposure to her, and this was nice to see.

That said... DL Hughley was really good. Leslie Jones was a bit too yelly for me. I like Wanda Sykes and her opinions... but her voice grates. Badly.

Good. Finally we can get a fresh face in there, someone who reflects middle America and resonates with the taxpaying laborer and middle-class family whose had enough of coastal elites sneering at them in the heartland.

/why are all the dogs barking

Three sassy black women, I thought that was going to be a trend.

Do you at ALL see the irony in your statement?   Are you going to sit there and claim every policy proposed by a Democrat is honorable and good, and every policy made by a Republican is dishonorable and bad?

/actually... I'm sure you WOULD claim that... which is why the irony flies right over your head.

I mostly only demonize the Right Wing asshats for their demonetization of others.

/and I don't think "Irony" is the term you wanted...

Every notice how the country elects a Dem then a Republican, then a Dem, then a Republican.   Because they BOTH are over-compensating for the direction the country went, previously.   Its an attempt to swing back in the other direction, but of course being moderate doesn't appeal to anyone, so they go way too far in the opposite direction, and the cycle continues.

The last time 2 Pres's of the same party were elected in a row was Regan, then Bush Sr., but Bush Sr only lasted 1 term before we got sick of his shiat.

A republican President runs up the debt, a democratic President brings it down, a Republican is elected and runs up the debt,...repeat. It's not some partisan opinion, it's a clear, record-able  fact.

I have no issue with Sykes voice.

Minhaj would be my choice, he has experience running a show because of Patriot Act and interviewing people.

yeah, but, then the dems don't hate the gays and foreigners enough, so we need to bring back the trusted gop on those issues.

I was a little shocked by that.  I expected her to barely rise above annoying, but she did pretty damn well.

And I don't like Handler much but I have to admit, I can kinda see her doing it.
