I'll bet it was that rascally power grid.  That woman better have good legal counsel:

I mean if she killed 2 people, Do we really want someone like that roaming around society

Scorpitron is reduced to a thin red paste: Just don't let her get remarried.

Exactly.  It's not like she's going to go right out, get married, and murder a third husband.  That's just poor craftsmanship.

Her first husband was shot and killed and she didn't get charged?

Oh, it was Minnesota. She probably just started crying and the cops decided she was innocent.  She probably had a "live laugh love" on the wall, too.

As a woman, am I wrong do be disapproving that she didn't find a smarter way to live her life and that she got caught? I don't like to give in to sexism, but I just get irritated when women aren't smarter and better.

Yeah, well. It's still illegal in most US states and Canadian provinces for a woman to shoot her husband for pissing her off. Even California has a three-bag limit.

Black widow wives are a thing but the funny part is most husbands die first anyway because marriage is hell, and we accept this as a fact of life.

She did not give this a lot of thought.  Her late husband was diabetic and 4 hours BEFORE she called emergency the hospital knew his insulin was high.

Lack of planning here.

I once worked with someone who appeared on that show.  Well, the Killer Couples version.  We actually found each other on Facebook, after years of not seeing each other, maybe a week before everything went down.  For what it's worth, I believe her version of events.  Knowing her history, and how much of an open book she was even as a teenager, I could see it happening the way she described it.  I can also see her being an idiot and getting so farked up as to basically incriminate herself by texting something meaning one thing metaphorically, but tragically it being something else entirely.  Now, do I believe she should get out of prison any earlier than the late 2040s?  Not really.  Just because she didn't actually do the crime, she knew something was going to happen to the poor guy.  She may have thought it was just going to be a robbery, but it ended up being far worse.

I have the original Andrews Sisters recording.  And yet my parents complained about my childhood music glorifying violence.  THEIR parents' music was just as bad, it seems.  And don't get me started on Stagger Lee, which came out during my parents' childhoods.

That's putting the cart before the horse. Most divorces are initiated by women. Men come to understand marriage is hell *because* of divorce. I loved marriage *until* the bitter divorce. SNL had a joke that more single women own homes *because* of divorce, and it might be true. They can have the house as long as I get some peace of mind.

Wow. this one sort of hits close to home, I graduated high school in Douglas county Minnesota. Alexandria class of 1991.    I had left the county well before that incident happened, and while i have heard of it and presumably heard or read news reports i don't recall any details at all.

I worked with a psycho Vietnam vet who was widowed 6 times.  He had two insane Dalmatians that he trained in viet only, and the only time I came over for dinner he gave me a Bob Vila-type book on how to conduct a River raid.

There are some serious whackos out there.
