That's a weird reason. So you liked it when only twitter users could read a thread, but you stopped liking it when anybody could read the thread?

I think he wrote that backwards.  If you're not logged in you can only read the first few comments before it gives you the "Log in to continue" punch in the face.

This is correct but there is a way around that if you use uBlock Origin. It has a "quick blaster" for page elements as well as the permanent custom filter list. It is so friggin awesome. I can't stand most websites without uBlock now.

I have permanently disabled those stupid two to four inch sticky nav headers, footers, sidebars, and that goddam jwvideo player that sites feel the need to pop into the bottom right corner all over the place. They literally don't friggin load and I love it.

For pages that you don't plan to visit often just use the quick delete function to get rid of those overlays hiding the desired content. Good luck and have more fun out there!
