Honestly, where's the lie?  All one has to do is listen to "In the Flesh" on Side Four of The Wall, and also remember that over ten years ago during performances of The Wall he showed a Star of David either before or after dollar signs, to get that.  If he's not antisemitic, he should so state.  If his beef is actually with the current government of Israel, he should so state.  I personally believe Bibi is an asshole and I have always had that opinion of the man.  Just him, not the citizens of Israel, and certainly not with Jewish people.  Sadly, I've known very few Jewish people in my life, but those I do know or have known don't fall into any of the stereotypes some people throw at them.

And I get that he's against any kind of war, but he can be anti-war and also come right out and say he hates Putin.  Honestly, I think Polly really got to him, and he's mad because what she said was true, and he knows he'd never win any kind of lawsuit.

And poor Nick Mason is stuck in the middle, wanting to keep the peace it seems.  He's had Roger sing with his band, and recorded a new Pink Floyd song with David.

Now to the lip-syncing allegation.  That is definitely true, and has been for around twenty years now.  Fans compared recordings of his shows, and discovered that the vocals in some songs never differed.  For fark's sake, the man rerecorded his vocals for Comfortably Numb from Live 8 for the official release, because he hated that his voice sounded strained or weak.  I, honestly, loved the raw version.

Whichever one dies first will be sure to get the last word in.  I can see it no other way.  I'm 99% certain if Roger dies first, and then David years later, Roger's estate will release a statement degrading him, and vice versa.

The other day we put together a training session which we decided to call "Learning to Fly". We kept kidding around with each other that we named it after "That song". It culminated with me saying "Tongue tied and twisted, just an earthbound misfit, I."

My friend's face went totally blank. He said "I don't remember Tom Petty ever singing those lyrics."

I thought for a moment, and said "I had forgotten that Petty also had a song with that name."

The sudden generational gap that appeared in the room was... uncomfortable.
