These are some pretty compelling characters.  Maybe someone should build on this commercial and make a whole TV series out of them.

I know, I know, conventional wisdom says that it will probably end up like Geico Caveman, but I've got a good feeling about this one.

20 something years ago Moby was being interviewed and he made the very acute observation that the bar for "selling out" is so arbitrary that the term is effectively meaningless.

On the other hand, maybe the characters in the commercial can reach the same heights as Ted Lasso?

Why viewers watch a TV show and why it is made are two opposite things. Duh.

You know, when you've got something as good as BB, it's hard to say "no" when people want to bring it back, even if it is to peddle bags of salty snacks.

Flappyhead: 20 something years ago Moby was being interviewed and he made the very acute observation that the bar for "selling out" is so arbitrary that the term is effectively meaningless.

While Moby has a point, he's probably not the best person to comment seeing as how he was one of the first rave artists to be accused of selling out.  He also got a record deal before a lot of other artists and there was always some speculation that Moby got a major label deal because he was white while the other artists were black.

I think it was Juan Atkins who noted that white artists were considered by major labels to have better commercial appeal with audiences for popular dance music while at the time black artists were considered to be more marketable for rap music fans.

But that's a discussion for another thread.

Is it really a Superbowl commercial if it is not uniquely aired during the Superbowl.

Also, the commercial wasn't that entertaining and rather sad. Lame, the word I am looking for is lame. At least the actors got paid.

I will admit that Super Bowl ads were a lot better when they weren't so meta and self-conscious.

Somehow people have decided that ads played during the Superbowl are entertainment. Because people are stupid.

If you can't tell the difference between something made to entertain and something made to sell a product, you are part of the problem.

Football is stupid and boring. When I end up in the room with the Superbowl on, at least I can enjoy the commercials.

I bought some sea salt ones. Yeah very bland. It is like a cross between a rice cake and popcorn on taste, but shaped like a tortilla chip.

There was no claim made of artistic integrity here. Actors like money. Advertising pays them to make ads. That's it.

Count me as one that never watches the game.  But i won't even turn on my TV to see the commercials, I'll find 'em online somewhere and watch them all at once.
