That just means they'll have the rest of the weekend to play it every other hour on every other HBO channel, like they do now. It used to be that you could always turn on the TV and find "Cops" on somewhere. Now you can flip through HBO channels and land somewhere, all the time, on The Last of Us.

It is a great show, though. So I don't mind much.

Just as well.  Considering what happened the last time someone counter-programmed the Super Bowl, I wouldn't want next year's halftime show to be a post-apocalyptic zombie drama spanning multiple seasons.  I don't think teams can wait in the locker room that long.

HBO has a channel? And you watch whatever they happen to be showing at the moment? Live tv is for sports and severe weather.

I think this is the first time HBO has done this.  In the past, if one of their hit Sunday shows fell on a holiday, or a major TV event, they'd just skip showing a new episode for that Sunday.

I hope my cable's on Demand has it available this Friday.

If that did that, with the popularity of this show, there's a good chance the Corporate HQ would be a smoking ruin by Monday morning.

Not HBO, but I hated when they would skip weeks like that for the X-files or Lost. Granted still better than the 80s when they'd resume a show "already in progress"...15 minutes in. Even as a kid that was an insult to my intelligence.

But back then what else are you going to do?

You can't just air it on a different day as people plan their schedules around their shows. And for shows with a plot arc missing an episode is a big issue.

It isn't like now where we can just watch the episode whenever we want.

Also want to add that Melanie Lynskey needs more bad guy roles. She does it so well.

Man ... kissing Anna Torv is worth it even with the spores.

Might go for Nick too after that piano And singing.  Dayum.
