"It felt like forever, just looking at him," Sweet-Smith said. "We stood there in, like, shock just going, 'He has to be dead.'"

Perfectly understandable reaction.

A guy had a motorcycle accident right in front of my house. I watched him until the ambulance took him away. He never moved. Still don't know, but I was like "Yeah, that guy's dead."

Talk about crashing someone's occasion.

A parachute is not necessary to jump out of an airplane. It is only necessary to jump out of an airplane more than once.

Roof is a decent place to land honestly. More give there than most other options.

Might be fairly safe activity, but I'll never do it.

I'll just ride the flaming wreckage down, thank you.

Exile On Beale Street: A guy had a motorcycle accident right in front of my house. I watched him until the ambulance took him away. He never moved. Still don't know, but I was like "Yeah, that guy's dead."

I watched a guy go flying off (over the handlebars) of a snowmobile when I was a teenager. He hit a pressure crack at probably 80+mph on the frozen lake in front of our house. No helmet. Rear end kicked up, popped him right over the front and he ran himself over. Somehow it came to rest right on top of him. My neighbor and I ran out and rolled the machine off of him after we called 911. He was alive and talking, but clearly couldn't move anything. It was a long 15 minutes before the ambulance got there. He had rented the snowmobile. His 5 or 6 friends showed up 10 minutes later. He had decided to open it up and "see what it can do" because the lake is so "flat", until it's not. Those pressure cracks are invisible against a gray sky in a light flurry. And they show up in different places every year. They make the perfect vert ramp too. But goddamn are snowmobiles fun. I wish we still got snow. Hard to justify $15,000 for a couple weekends a year.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
