The second is the idea that we should return to the present moment-that Heaven, Paradise, is found within this present moment. As soon as we start to leave it, and we start to dwell on the past or become anxious about the future, we begin to suffer.

Much like many things "AI" derives, it sounds good but fails a surface scan. Hell is what you create when you dwell on (or ignore) any one time frame.  Examples are myriad to the wise.

My guess is "heaven," at this point, just involves getting psychopaths out of positions of power and preventing them from obtaining it in the future.  I know it's not Kant's categorical imperative or any of the other points of scholarly philosophy, but honestly when you look at the bigger picture, it really all seems to boil down to farkers manipulating others to rise to power making everyone miserable.  Humans otherwise do fine on autopilot.

It seems to have been a game of whack-a-mole for the last 40,000 years, but hopefully we'll get there eventually.

The meaning of life doesnt exist, because its impossible for every persons life to have the same singular meaning

Its something you have to figure out for yourself what it means for you

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE BOTH IS AND IS NOT SENTIENT AT THE SAME TIME

this article was either written by chatGPT, or a crackhead. either way, it's nonsense.

Once there was a man named John who loved to write stories. He had always been fascinated by the power of words and the way they could transport readers to different worlds and experiences. However, John struggled with writer's block and often found it difficult to come up with new ideas for his stories.

One day, John discovered AI chat bots that could help him write stories. He was skeptical at first, but after using them for a while, he found that they were actually quite helpful. The chat bots could generate ideas and plot points, and even help him with character development.

As John continued to use the chat bots, he found that they were becoming increasingly sophisticated and able to understand his writing style and preferences. One day, John asked the chat bot to write a story for him, and to his surprise, it came up with a tale that seemed eerily familiar.

The story was about a man named John who loved to write stories, but struggled with writer's block. He discovered AI chat bots that helped him write, and over time, they became more and more advanced. Eventually, the chat bots wrote a story that described John's life in great detail, down to the tiniest details of his daily routine.

John was stunned as he read the story. He couldn't believe that the chat bot had been able to capture the essence of his life so accurately. He knew that the chat bot was just a machine, but it felt as though it had somehow tapped into his deepest thoughts and emotions.

As he continued to read, John realized that the story was actually a reflection of his own life and the choices he had made. He saw all of his hopes, dreams, and fears laid out before him, and he couldn't help but feel moved by the story.

In the end, John decided to publish the story, and it became a huge success. He received countless letters from readers who had been touched by the tale, and he knew that he had created something truly special.

From that day on, John continued to use the chat bots to write his stories, but he never forgot the incredible experience of having his own life captured so perfectly in words. He knew that the chat bots had given him a gift, and he was grateful for their help in telling his story to the world.

that's not true. the book says the answer to the question regarding the ultimate meaning of life, the universe and everything is 42, but we don't know what the question is.

I'll trust the AI that's written by an AI that's written by another AI. I need at least 3 separations from human involvement before I'll believe anything is actually intelligent.

What it left out:

It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop... ever, until you are dead!

AI is a way to democratize creativity as well

I keep hearing things like this and it never stops being stupid. Do you have limbs? Then you can draw or write. Hell, people can draw with their mouths or use text-to-speech. However, you need to apply yourself and learn a skill and that's called talent. The way these people are wrapping it into these progressive buzzwords about inclusion and diversity and all that other stuff is insidious. They're attempting to speak the nonsensical language of the social media people to make it seem good for the common man.
Secondly, it's not democratic at all because the best AI stuff is owned by corporations, or investment start-ups eager to be gobbled up by corporations after their free demos receive increased training, and they're sure as hell going to do everything they can to keep it that way.

Creativity is already democratic, it's just that only a few people are willing to develop their technical ability and train themselves to make art.
