A quote "heard" on the street and a Quinnipiac poll.

I see the Post's days of being a shiatty rag shilling for the right are certainly coming to a middle.

Nope.  Not clicking the Tabloid Post.

Nothing could have pleased New Yorkers Post readers...

That's almost as bad as giving them water if they were in line!

My God, I hate the NY Post.

It's definitely a common sentiment that I've heard all the time from most people.

2023-02-04 4:56:25 PM
It makes sense to a Republican.  They got theirs out of someone else's pocket, but someone else shouldn't get anything.

2023-02-04 5:04:03 PM
Being serious for a second, the GOP is correct about the democrats willingness to blow away all chances at holding a majority in Congress by  publicly kowtowing to folks who can't vote.

(Stupid) people have been programmed to not reward that rhetoric with their votes.  There are a lot of stupid people.

If you're planning on funnying this comment, that's fine, but don't come biatching when democrats lose the senate in 2024.

New Yorkers being afraid of migrants is the silliest shiat ever. Like "yes, this city was built by Africans, Brits, Irish, Jews, and all kinds of others... But THIS generation of migrants...! They're the ones ruining it!"

2023-02-04 5:07:06 PM
I now don't believe that NYC exists.

2023-02-04 5:07:46 PM
Fun Fact: in the 1890's my family, and a whole bunch of other Irish Americans, moved to Kansas from New York because of shiat exactly like this.

I'm not trying to bag on New York because I'm sure that there are parts of New York and New Yorkers that / who are nice...it's just....this is pretty consistent with the stories my great aunt told. She was 109-110 when she passed away.

New Yorkers are generous and big-hearted, but the slew of free stuff for migrants - meals, health care, haircuts, cellphones, ping-pong tables and Xboxes

I'm gonna guess someone donated their old consoles which could be picked up used at Goodwill for less than $50 so the kids could play with something. Those Lucky Duckies!

New Yorkers hating the most recent wave of immigrants is the very heart of New York history.

2023-02-04 5:18:24 PM
I think an opportunity was missed by those who received the bused immigrants to publicly call their effort "Project Ellis Island" or some variation of that. Make it the lede, that this is our country's birthmark. Disrupt what conservatives are telling people to feel about immigration.

A suicide note, and then I'd kill myself, instead of publishing this spiteful, racist nonsense.

CSB

When I was in school I worked the party head boats out of Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn on weekends and summers. The captain I worked for used to give me change and send down the pier to empty out The NY Post paper box. We used them to wrap fish we would sell to people on at the dock.

Ah, watching the propaganda machine work is... disgusting.

Ungrateful, MEN, getting Private showers, food, even farking haircuts.

Horrifying.

All sarcasm aside, this will play with Americans.

And before some attacks Democratic Party members as being unable to counter...

How do you counter cruelty and evil? Seriously.

So you want the Democratic Party to start saying they will criminalize anyone who opposes abortion? Force people with 5 bedroom homes to give them to those in need?

There is literally no counter to this level of anger and hate because the opposite is love and respect.

Love and respect never plays. Which is amazing given that 80 percent of these people claim they are Christians.

Yes indeed, when my English coworkers complain about immigrants I point out that I am a European economic migrant too, I just happen to have a British passport already. If the folk they complain about jump through the right hoops they get a British passport too, wherever they were originally born.
They shut up about it.

This is not a repeat from 1215.  We haven't created the Great Inquisition, burned Cathars, expelled Jews from England, sought and burned witches, cripples, orphans, and heretics for crimes against the official government religion, sealed the borders, codified the 4th Lateran Council of paranoia and brutal fear of diversity, denied weather changes during one of those cultural shifts where even the devout gets corrupted with the great power in directing the masses with solutions to their fears.

Not yet, but that didn't happen in a day.

It's rack rate at any hotel in a major city.  Of course hardly anybody pays that so it's disingenuous bullshait by The Post.  Shocking.

Not if you realize they can book the entire hotel for months at a time. You get a discount for that. It's how travel agencies can offer cheap rooms in resort areas - they book the entire hotel for the whole season and pass some of the savings on. The hotel can offer discount rates because they no longer have to worry about unfilled rooms.

Odds are this guy's family or his descendants came during a time when you could simply walk across the southern border and nobody gave a shait except for the usual nativists.

So yeah.
