Place I worked at we made our own bread.
The Vermonter was on that, with home made maple mustard, Cabot cheddar cheese, and McKenzie smoked ham.

The diced pepperocinis made it zing.

Does it have to be made from people native to Vermont, or can you use folks who've only been living there a few years?

You can use someone who hasn't lived there, you just have to braise them in maple syrup longer.

I hear that if they're from Canada, you just have to show them to a picture of a Log Cabin.

Pretending to be from Vermont works just fine. Just have a bad haircut and dirty clothes and nobody will even suspect.

Also articleis all like: 'The Vermonter from Your Belly's Deli in Bennington, VT includes roast beef, ham, pastrami, and horseradish.'

Kountry Kart Deli in Burlington is the go-to late night food spot downtown. Everyone knows it as KKD.

Their 8oz burger is called a Vermonter and the 4-5oz burger is called the Flatlander.

I always liked that playful provincialism.
