it's on my bucket list to someday see a race at Bathurst. it just looks like such a cool track to see, but I'd be terrified as hell to try to drive it especially through the twisty bits at the top. I'd prefer to go there to see The Great Race because I think the Supercars put on a great show, but I'd be happy to see anything race there

/plus I think the fact that the fans show up early to bury their beer in the park so they have something to drink on race day is just awesome

There was an Ozzy Man Reviews boat race thing from a few years ago that I could easily find with less effort expended than saying I could easily find it but won't that I was hoping there would be a live link to. :(

They've streamed this race on Youtube for a few years now. And there's still some difficulty getting stuff into Australia, so it's a smaller field than normal.

/And as subby, I can tell you that the channel showing the linked stream shows a ton of GT racing all year long; including the Spa 24 hours

Another safety car for dead car on escape road.  You would think they could handle it via a local yellow.  It has not been a smooth race

You'd think with such a small field for a respected endurance race, there'd be less incidents.

Sadly, it looks like there were supposed to be more than 24 starters but some teams who signed up pulled out. Apparently, a couple of manufacturers feel that Bathurst isn't worth the risk to their cars with the lack of runoff area. I have to think there's going to be some serious discussion about what to do to fix things for next year.

Its fun to play ACC and hear a lot of these names. I just tried out the M4 GT3 car, and it's nice. The 991 GT3 car is kind of a handful

Well, this race might end with some intrigue. The leader's data recorder isn't transmitting to race control, which they probably will need to replace and they might be able to put their driver who put them on pole position in for the finish. 2nd and 3rd is in close contention.

And #999 gets hiat with a drive through penalty for spinning #75 for the lead

#75 wins, with a record distance of 323 laps and over 2,000km and a record green flag run of over 4.5 hours to finish the race. And the top 3 were covered by 1.6 seconds. The finishing driver Jules Gounon wins his 3rd straight Bathurst.

And he got spun out by Maro Engel in the 999. Maro was his teammate last weekend in GTO Pro at Daytona and they won the race.
