He doesn't care!  As long as the herd keeps voting for him he just doesn't care.

No citations and a stupid premise. If this was my student I would lock him in stocks and hand out whips to the rest of the class.

No.

The problem is that he does care.

Teleological physical processes. Not just Lamarckian anymore.

Rarely is the question asked, is our brains learning?

So it's one of the "then a miracle occurs" explanations for why the body works the way it does. Homeostasis strikes again!

I did click, but the article lost me very quickly.

Don't see what's so complicated about Republican theory these days. It's 100% "Our Side Good, Their Side Bad." There is no more to it than that. It's the simplest, most effective way to sell fascism, and it's all that matters. Anything Their Side likes will be banned; it's just a matter of time.

Republican cancel culture is out of control.

There's an interesting corollary to the  articles point about the problem with connections that are too strong or too weak. You see it in people who leap to dichotomous thinking. And what they lack in subtlety of thought they add on unwarranted confidence.

I just assumed it was a self-referential post.

No they don't, and I should know. I read a lot of articles on this subject.

I did my very best to kill  brain cells in my teen years (mid 1970s) and I'm still not  a Republican.   The GQP don't want anyone to even hope for a chance of improving their intelligence.   They want the electorate to despise, fear, and mistrust intelligence.    They've largely succeeded.

That said, the "study" is probably complete bunk.

The article was very interesting and like CRT completely beyond the grasp of most people on the "right"

Anyone who's ever played darts or pool knows this. There is a certain amount of alcohol that puts you in "the zone". Unfortunately that amount is a very small range...

It's the best place to submit if you want absolutely zero chance of thoughtful discussion.
