Looks like a fun place to work, but I'm a gearhead. Hopefully these start turning the tide, or at least make it easier for Ukraine to mow down the orc hoards after they get loaded on black drink.

One interesting thing is that the work will be varied.  There are so many different types of tanks and pseudo-tanks and almost-tanks in the field in Ukraine (especially with all the western ones headed their way in the coming months) that they'll rarely see the same type twice.

Oryx, the open-source Dutch intelligence defence analysis website, has collected photographs of 546 captured Russian tanks. It will be just a fraction of the total haul that were either abandoned by the fleeing Russian forces or seized in bloody battle.

That is an absolutely pathetic statistic for a supposedly modern army like russia's. I can't believe the US cowered in fear from them for so many decades. Hell, our cops a probably armed heavily enough to defeat them.

Like junkyard parts from inside car passenger compartments that weren't quite washed all the way clean.

When 90% of the parts are so heavy they will crush you if you make a mistake.

I've always had a love/hate relationship with maintenance day when I was in.  On the plus side, you got to sleep in until 0700, on the minus side, anything to do with the automotive side is dirty, back breaking work.
