Consumers should stop using them and report any adverse reactions to the FDA.

Usually it's DuPont that has adverse reactions to the FDA

My husbot needs to use preservative-free eyedrops because of his thin and sensitive cornea... but he gets ones that come in individual single-use plastic vials.

The label only says distributed by... Some cutout in NY.  I guess Made In India would be bad for business.

I had to use a preservative free eye drop and contact solution after 15 years of wearing contacts--over time for contact wearers, it's REALLY common to become sensitive to the preservatives. I went from wearing my contacts all day every day to barely managing just the work day--it got so bad that it was the final hurdle I got over and got LASIK-- the writing was on the wall that I couldn't keep wearing contacts full stop.

So this is less "hurr stupid morans, I bet they drink unpasteurized milk and snort essential oils, too" and more "the final option for people that develop a really common issue with the preservatives in contact solution and eye drops."

As an optometrist I've never heard of this janky-ass brand.

Question for you: I thought preservative-free eyedrops only come in single-use packaging? So the eyedrops being recalled do, in fact, have preservatives. Just trying to check facts before calling subby an idiot.

Wait, the company is actually named "Global Pharma Healthcare"? Am I reading an article on The Onion?

When I had LASIK the doctor basically told me to stick with preservative-free eye drops, since any irritation is a risk during that critical first month. They do have a medical use.

this is another reason i want preservatives, probably in everything !
i remember reading about an undertaker that said we are eating so many preservatives that he could skip the embalming fluid. I AM FINE WITH THAT.
i want it to take a month for someone to realize i am dead and still look the same 4,000 years from now.

I had LASIK about 15 years ago and at least back then there were for sure full bottles without preservatives.

No, preservative-free eyedrops come in 10 ml bottles too.

I remember in 2006, there was a contact lens cleaner that had a cornea-eating bacteria in it.  Just a little nightmare fuel for you.

I wear glasses so I can put all the preservatives I want in my eyes.

This never would have happened if Terry Farrell didn't leave after Season 6.

That's the brand I use. Fortunately they have a good track record with QA.

Just FYI, you've been able to get thimerosol-free eyedrops for about 40 years, dumbassmitter.

And if yours was like mine they specified the single-use version so you always had freshly sterilized solution and didn't give yourself a raging eye infection with a big hole in your cornea.

One of these days, I'm going to put out a supplement featuring all-natural, organic, humanely sourced arsenic.

Pseudomonas in the eye is a seriously not messing around situation. Especially since this is a fun multi drug resistant strain.

On a fun side note though Pseudomonas looks all cool neon green on certain agar gel plates and smells like juicy fruit gum. Horrible to get as an infection. Pretty to look at though.
