Sushiro, the market leader, said this week that the man who made the viral video had apologised, along with his parents, but added that it had filed criminal and civil cases.

Yeah, I'm gonna want FAFO updates on this.

Yeah...

And this is in Japan.

This would be exhibit A of why I've never done conveyor belt sushi in the US.

I dunno, in endlessly entertained by stories of folks sticking their phones on the belt to video it then being surprised when the phone goes into the high temp commercial dish washer & coming out a half melted mess.

Problem:

It's some sort of a (video site that's longer than Vine) challenge, so the idea is to do it covertly but then post it online, so the chefs don't see

/assumes there won't be any seppuku, either
//even if they dishonor their family for doing this

Oh I don't either.

It's just that sushi is the only one that's ever been somewhat tempting.

I'll give you one...In London there is a cheese bar with conveyors.

Note that the dishes are covered, which seems like the simple solution for Japan to emulate. Put a cover on with a piece of tape to indicate tampering and voila, problem solved.

if you're in your mid (late?) 30s and have never had sushi you should still have it. have it in your friend's honor, she'd want you to experience it still i'm sure...

especially because sushi is delicious. go to a place that has a bar where you sit and order from the chef, tell them it's your first time and you want their help, any good place will oblige you and help

She made me promise to never try it til she took me to sample it...that first part of the sentence kind of complicates it.

i'm sure it's because it's fun to eat sushi with someone and she wanted to share that with YOU first.

not that she NEVER wanted you to have it without her. seriously, i don't know her or what happened, but i know you lost someone important to you. i'm sure she'd not want you to be denied sushi. she just didn't want you to have that "ah-ha! this is this thing!" moment with someone not-her.

eat sushi, alone with a chef or with a big group of friends. she clearly wanted you to have it. it would honor her memory to eat it in good spirits, someday 💜

These asswagons are probably going to meet the police or the yakuza.

Or maybe both.
