SBinRR: I can't see myself ever going vegan, or vegetarian, but I have cut waaay back on red meat the last couple of years, and have made vegetables and grains the focus of my plate.  I think I could dig a safari like this.

Honestly, the point of a safari is to see animals out in the wild, not to kill them in what amounts to an easy arena akin to a stocked trout-fishing pond. If someone wants to do a safari where death is the conclusion, I'd watch a modern-day equivalent to the Christian-versus-lions bouts, where it's just man versus significantly more deadly animal. Let's see how these weekend warriors do, with no weapons and just their own ingenuity to work with!
