Belmont is one of the schittiest places of all time. Stuck between Watertown and Cambridge, its as if Belmont's founders went, 'enough with the uppity fun of everything, we're going to be beige AF.'

The police wear old-timey 1920s getups complete with brass buttons.

I believe it's still a dry town. Like someone stuck a frumpy ass in the middle of awesome. Belmont is very much the turd in the punchbowl.

Being a simple mud-farming peasant, it's strange to me that anyone with the means to RENT a place like that would rent anything at all.

$25k/mo is obscene. You could BUY an amazing home in an amazing location, and live comfortably forever, on $25k/mo.

Or you could... rent this place?

Not a dry town anymore, but was one of the last, and yes, the residents are super stuck up.

Per TFA, it's mostly used for corporate retreats, family reunions and such as. It's far too big to be useful as a single family's summer cottage, which may be why Mittens sold it.
