While I'm sure you're right, the idea that they someone skirted defamation cases in the past with that line is horseshiat.

It's not a question of how a reasonable person would construe their statements, it's a question of how their audience would (and does). You tell a bunch of slack-jawed shiat-for-brains assholes something you know to be false that leads them to commit a crime, that's incitement of the crime even if they weren't reasonable. You tell that same crowd something you know (or should know) to be false and it causes that person damages (harassment, loss of business or other relevant effects from ruining reputation, threats, etc.) there is a liability there.

I don't know what's on Hunter Biden's laptop. I look forward to finding out with great anticipation. I don't know what Hunter Biden was doing in Ukraine.  Again, I look forward to finding out with great anticipation.

A repairman, John Paul Mac Isaac, rummaged through the computer and made copies of the hard drive, which contains information about Biden's business dealings, as well as salacious photos and videos of Biden seemingly engaging in illegal activity.

There are legitimate reasons for a tech to make such a copy, but it should be 100% illegal to keep the data without consent.

We should just start numbering some of our responses on Fark like that old joke.

Some of the old time comics are sitting around telling jokes. One of them says "Seventeen" and the other old timers all roar with laughter. A little later, another one of them says "Thirty-Two" and again, they all laugh and holler.

Well, the new guy can't figure out what's going on, so he asks one of the locals next to him "What're these old-timers doing?" The local says "Well, they've been hanging around together so long they all know all the same jokes, so to save extra talking they've given all the jokes numbers."

Because the Benghazi investigations worked that is their new template. The goal has nothing to do with the courts but with driving a narrative for the MAGAts. Validating that the laptop is really Hunters adds fuel and plausibility to anything they want to claim was found on it.

Hunter Biden is a victim of unimaginable tragedy, to judge him for how he survived it is offensive. He got through it, and continues to, in the only way he could. Many traumatized people turn to alcohol/drugs/sex to cope. This evidences the depth of the trauma, not any personal weakness. To me, the only thing that matters is what Joe Biden has said about Hunter "I'm proud of my son"
