I'll add that 2 Billion is an insanely large amount of money. My favorite way to visualize it is this: let's say all the money the Saudi's gave Kush were in a pile. Kush decides to split the money for you in exchange for your silence. He divides it by counting into two piles, one for you and for him. Except, each $1000 gets divided by him putting $1 in your pile and $999 in his.
When the Saudi cash is finally divided, your pile of $1 has added up to $2 Million Dollars.
The point is $2 Billion is the kind of money that buys national secrets, and still has enough cash left over for a lavish Golf Tournament so the spies can rub elbows with famous people and traitors in style.

No. I'm throwing my lot in with a sales rep, a retired guy, and a small business owner. My regular foursome.

I live within an hour of several Trump golf courses, been invited to play, but never will.

I'm not rich, not by NJ standards, but middle class. I've played golf for forty years.  I'll continue to do so.

Y'know, plenty of people enjoy golf without liking Trump or Saudi leadership. "You like golf, therefore you're just like these people" is pretty dumb. I also like breathing, something I'm pretty sure they enjoy.

/I won't watch their tour or go to any events and I'll still call them how I see 'em (garbage)

They do more for progressive causes than some whiny guy running 4 alts on Fark.

When you are golfing you are able to forget about the rest of the world for 4 hours and concentrate on the game in front of you. I am a fan of the PGA and watch it regularly but have not watched one minute of LIV. Look at all the charities the PGA helps, one of their biggest tournaments is the St Jude's which raises money and spotlights the St Jude's Children's hospital. The John Deere Classic in the Quad Cities raises the most charity dollars per capita year end and year out on the tour. Is golfing an expensive hobby compared to others, yes but there are people who will spend hundreds of dollars on a bottle of wine or bourbon, spend thousands on fishing boats and equipment. Everyone I golf with make under $75,000 a year so saying it's elitist is being narrow-minded.

A firefighter, a priest, a surgeon, and an engineer are playing golf, but they get stuck behind a Very slow foursome who are absolutely Terrible at golf. The surgeon is complaining about them when the firefighter tells them they are fellow firefighters who were blinded rescuing children from a burning orphanage.
The priest is shocked, and says he'll pray for them, the surgeon says he'll set up an appointment to see what he can do to cure their blindness, the engineer asks "If they're blind, why can't they play at night?"

I live in Iowa, we have plenty of land and water, a golf course here is actually better for water preservation because they aren't dumping pesticides into the water table like the farmers are.
