This. They're the same ones attacking school boards and trying to ban books and screeching at drag queens.

I was hoping death would solve that problem for us... but they persist with their living and b*tching.

They're going to be claiming victory.  As companies are dropping their vaccine requirements they're going to say they were right all along.  Some will sue for wrongful termination and try to get back pay.

Still going to mask up in public.  This isn't over, and it's dumb to pretend otherwise.

Yeah, a 1-2% case fatality rate wasn't nearly high enough to flush out the idiots. I'm just happy that modern medicine gave us safe and effective vaccines so when my immunocompromised mother did finally get it her double boosted body was able to fight it off without hospitalization (though she had a pretty rough 3 weeks of it).

A year ago, they held Ottawa hostage for several weeks over Covid-19 restrictions that had already been repealed. It doesn't matter that there's nothing to protest, and if past is prologue, I'd expect them to get violent.

// And I still wear a mask in enclosed public spaces. These past four years have been an unending stream of non-Covid-19-related health problems. I'm not going to as another farking risk to my life.

Well now they will scream how it is a conspiracy and run out to get vaccinated.

There's a lot of truth in that article. I think this was the highlight:

It's made worse by the fact that conservatives always need some B.S. story about how they're the "real" victims to justify adhering to a political ideology that is about oppressing others. That's why right-wing media is a steady stream of lies about how white people are the "real" victims of racism, that feminism has gone "too far," or that LGBTQ rights are somehow a threat to conservative families. Anti-vaccination ideology suits this desire on the right to play the victim, giving them the chance to pretend to be persecuted by vaccine mandates.

RTFA, nice.

I don't tweet, so it seemed a bit weird, hell I don't even FB on my phone.

I've been trying to comprehend the antivaxxer's thought process...I can't dumb down enough to do that. So anyway, why do antivaxxers not want me to smoke in public. Freedom of choice was it to not wear a mask? By their idiocy, they are claiming false medical issues for a fake disease, and then that makes it a real issue.

Seriously, WTF? Would these people really line up for a de-vax of diseases like Polio or MMR, etc...?
Would these people refuse a cancer vaccine if it came out tomorrow?
Yes, and yes as they would have to prove their point of how unsafe a life saving vaccine is by getting cancer.

No antivaxxer should be listened to, and yet they all need to be outed for their selfish idiocy, and be ridiculed for being willful plague rats.

/Funny and pathetically sad, that the antivaxxers and Fascist sympathizersare one in the same.

Yep, and if these assholes get their way, it still won't be enough for them. Next up will be attacking interracial relationships as "unnatural", promoting slavery of non-whites as "natural", ending women's and colored peoples' suffrage, and attacking any other economic plan that doesn't involve giving everything to the wealthiest people.

Some rando has started up again on my Facebook feed.

Nothing about it for around a year now, but suddenly picked up a few weeks ago.

Coincidentally he regularly talks about funnels and uses a lot of buzzwords trying to sell his online e-commerce training course, so I just have him noted as someone who talks a lot of shiat and just ignore it. But the new anti-vaxxer stuff just seems to be screaming out for attention.

Previously pro-vax would point out the flaws in his arguments, these days it's just a stream of anti-vaxxers congratulating him on yet another incredible retort and pro-vaxxers cbf and saying nothing.

Same.

I have POTS (among other things), which is one of the long covid symptoms.  Like, if I got covid, would I end up with double POTS?  F*ck, and I can't possibly stress this enough, all that noise.

- MAGA or their country's equivalent
- Russia boosting
- Hatred for immigrants & racism
- Crypto / NFT boosting
- Numerous other conspiracies, e.g. Jeffrey Epstein, 9/11, Hunter Biden, Antony Fauci, George Soros etc.
- And weirdly Stan levels of support for a sports team - soccer, US football etc.

It's like is one giant rolling cancerous ball of stupid consuming every dumb conspiracy in its path, plus tribalism out of the wazoo. I guarantee the end of COVID (or rather it being endemic and treatable) is not the end of these morons.

By posting this you are reminding me that the Colbert Show was so hilarious and enjoyable and the show he has now is criminally unfunny and it makes me sad. People don't appreciate good writers, or maybe there's just a rule that prime time talk shows TV shows aren't allowed to be funny.

There will always be more people at a vulnerable place that can be recruited into the ranks of every terrible philosophy. The problem isn't the people, it's the billionaires funding this shiat so we fight each other forever and leave the rich alone to drive the planet into the farking ground for their own enrichment.

Just ban people from being billionaires, or for them to have any stake in any form of media through any means*. I don't care if this strips their right to free speech from them, it's worth the compromise.

/At this stage I don't think the situation is recoverable, but we can keep trying.

Have you been the recipient, yet, of complaints about your mask wearing? It's coming, trust me. You WILL obey!

About two weeks ago I was at the bank, and another (unmasked) customer was not-so-quietly muttering on about "...all the people in line {i.e.: me and two other people] wearing masks! Any one of them could be a bank robber!"

Yes, I'm serious. My mask wearing is now scaring and traumatizing these fascist snowflakes.

I personally know at least one person (a vaxxed mask-wearer) who stopped visiting her father because he was anti-vax and anti-mask. Her logic was pure self-protection. I'm pretty sure there are millions of similar circumstances out there. Not sure what "disowned" means, since Green Sun is a moron.

I'm convinced that the nidus of most of it is organized and deliberate. Read up on the internet Research Agency.

This shiat has been going on for decades, via the KGB and the FSB. The IRA trolls, and their impact on western discourse, are simply a distilled and high-tech version.

Remember, though words and bullshiat often take longer to take effect (eg: degrade a society), and their results are often more random than desired, words and bullshiat are always cheaper than trained troops, tanks, and missiles.

Keep doing that internet research.

This is a bizarre media masturbatory session typical of radical left-wing media outlets.

Anti-vaxxers think the pandemic was either over a long time ago or was a hoax because the vaccines didn't work. They don't give two shiats about the end of it.

Of course, the vaccines DID work and did help to protect the vulnerable, and Biden did prolong pandemic aid long after it was no longer necessary, to buy votes/political capital.

So who will be panicking? The people who rely on pandemic benefits after it's over. Too late for you, the midterms are over, Biden doesn't need to buy your vote until 2024.
