That's pretty farked up, gender reveal party no less.
I imagine there is a way to get a pink pigeon in a non-toxic safe manner if you really wanted to. Start with a white pigeon and give it a specialized diet very high in beta-carotenoids and xanthenes like the flamingos do.

OK, I was expecting that gotcha headlines.

A pink pigeon by the way is different from the Pink Pigeon, which are extinct, I believe. Speaking of pigeons, weren't those pigeons with cowbody hats glued to their heads cute as the dickens?

I can't remember if that was a prank or street art, but I remember it so it must be Art. That's the difference between street art and pranking. You remember the street art, forget the prank until it's a meme.

Good news. The Pink pigeon is not extinct. I fact-checked myself and they are very rare but not gone.

Wikipedia:  The pink pigeon nearly became extinct in the 1970s and the 1990s and is still very rare.
