The Red States know their threats are in direct violation of the Federal decision to make abortion pills available by mail. Their plan is to push it all the way to the Supreme Court, who will likely use dubious reasoning to override the commerce clause, at least where Republican causes stand to be advanced.
How dubious?
Well, here's some of Alito's citations for overturning Roe:

We need an underground railroad to depopulate the slave states of bodies with vaginas.  Turn the slave states into a sausage party.

I have brought this up before but I think there is potential for a service that flies a woman out of a red state to a state like pro-choice Colorado, provides temporary housing, transportation to the abortion clinic and back, then flies her home.

Call it Air B&B-D&C

The logical end-point here is law enforcement in these states going through everybody's mail. You know, like in prison.

Maybe it will keep them from terrorizing librarians for five minutes, at least.

The people's elected representatives

These are the same people the GOP thought were too stupid to vote on issues like redistricting and legalizing marijuana.

Funny how they're never too stupid to put these clowns into office in the first place.

It all makes perfect sense to conservatives.  Sometimes I think it must be nice to not have to think too deeply about anything, but I can't seem to stop myself.  Anymore, I'm starting to feel like this guy:

Problem is they each get two Senators whether the state population is 10 million or 10. And when it really comes down to it, control of the Senate (or lack thereof) is what has led to everything being the way it currently is.

Why return to a slave state?

Why help bodies with vaginas that want to get an abortion, but otherwise support the slave states?  Anybody that wants to live in Gilead should be barred from getting help.

Gitmo.

Problem solved.  Keep using the power of gitmo until the problem is solved.

Here's the way it should go:

1.) Woman gets pregnant.
2.) Doctor advises woman to terminate pregnancy for health reasons.
3.) Woman orders pills across state lines.
4.) Attorney General interferes, woman fails to terminate pregnancy.
5.) Woman dies of pregnancy-related complications.
6.) Attorney General is charged with murder, federally, for interfering with necessary healthcare.

Agreed.

And I will repeat an offer: If you happen to find yourself in a red state where this is happening and need to come to Minnesota for abortion services, we have a guest room available. You can stay with us, no charge, and we'll help get you to/from any appointment(s), the airport/bus/train terminal, homecooked food, etc. I'm sure there are legit organizations that help coordinate that stuff that would put me on some sort of contact list but no clue who they might be or how to participate in the effort beyond providing donations.
